Strange to find Tony Blair speaking on an illustrious panel including the president of Guyana He was there to voice his support for selling carbon credits from Guyana's forests. The country has signed a $750m deal with oil firm Hess Corporation so it can offset its emissions.

Today the @EP_Environment will vote on the #CRCF (or better CRRC-F): The compromise amendments show that MEPs - like Member States - want this to be a framework that covers both carbon removals and greenhouse gas reductions.

So, as I read it, almost everything is in, with a huge caveat. Any technology must demonstrate they are consistent w/ geologic storage or equivalent.
Meaning permanence of hundreds to thousands of years. Smart move by DOE, focusing on standards, not tech exclusionary.
