THREAD - Who are the Hazaras? The Hazara people are an ethnic & religious minority largely found in the rugged & mountainous central region of Hazarajat (where predominately Hazaras live in) of🇦🇫. Hazara people make up roughly 19 to 25% of Afghanistan’s estimated 36 mil people.

This week saw the publication of the Makin report into the cover up by the Church of England of Barrister John Smythe’s brutal physical and sexual abuse of at least 100 children. Smythe’s abuse of children was known about by the highest members of the Anglican Church since at least 2013 but they failed to investigate until after his death. One of Smythe’s victims, author @markstibbe , was abused whilst in “the care of” an elite boarding school who clearly failed to keep him safe. Mark joined me and @wolvercoteman on @LockedUpLiving this week. I didn’t give enough attention to the mother wound so I’m just balancing things. Plus the focus in this interview was on matron/mother.

@NMPsychologist @LockedUpLiving @markstibbe Really interesting as a boarding school person myself. However, what about hunger 4 father love &missing it & impact on development, especially 4 boys. A lot is written in attachment about mum but very little on dad & how attachment needs change especially around puberty.
