🚨Your Sunday watch has dropped! Would Donald Trump invade Iran’s oil-critical Kharg Island? The US president has made plenty of threats in an attempt to secure the Strait of Hormuz but what are the odds and potential fallout? China is using folding mobile photovoltaic power stations, long strips of solar panels that unfold to quickly generate electricity, bringing clean power to construction sites, disaster zones, and remote areas.

Ever heard of Palantir? Here's why it matters: Palantir is a US software company. It specialises in data products, used widely by governments for surveillance, intelligence and military purposes. In January 2024, Palantir signed a contract with the Israeli military to use its technology in support of “war-related missions.” Palantir has a deep relationship with US law enforcement. It supplies ICE with tools that can be used for surveillance and targeting of migrants in the US. Now, that same company is working at the heart of the UK National Health Service. Palantir has already received £330 million of our money for its contract with our NHS England. Health workers and patients have been ringing the alarm for years: this is not right. What’s happening in Gaza is an ongoing genocide. We shouldn’t have a company linked to human rights abuses have anything to do with the health of patients in the UK and the public health system. Britain has paid Norway over £100 billion for gas since 2021. For gas they’re drilling in the North Sea, the same sea Ed Miliband has banned new drilling in on the British side. Madness.

The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare. In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do. And the cost? Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.
