For those who don’t understand, here’s what this looks like with Discord:
- Turned off iCloud backups
- Installed Discord and created a new account
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Discord
- Still signed in without any manual intervention
This is a big security and privacy issue.

Apple actually tried to fix this glaring privacy issue in iOS 10.3 beta by deleting all keystore (keychain) values once an app is uninstalled. However too many apps relied on this undocumented 'feature', so they ended up reverting the change before releasing the public version.

a product team REMOVING an entire feature of communication for creators without consulting with the largest creators and users of the feature is poor decision making.
they clearly made this decision by looking at quantitative gross usage metrics — vs — qualitative metrics of WHO actually DOES use it and the depth of the features importance to these users.
this is a not an update to a feature. this is not an upgrade. this is a removal of a core function to some of the largest creators in the world and a 🖕 to their communities.
Disappointing — hope theres enough noise that @nikitabier and team open their door to hear it.

It isn’t billionaires. It’s the principle that individuals have a right to produce, trade, and keep what they earn.
Billionaires are just the most visible target. Start there, and you normalize the idea that success is a liability. Once that principle is accepted, it doesn’t stay confined. It moves downward.
And there’s a practical side you’re ignoring. In a free system, you choose who you deal with. You can walk away. When power shifts to bureaucrats, that choice disappears. You deal with them whether you want to or not.
So no, it isn’t about defending the rich. It’s about rejecting a system where your rights depend on who has political power.
