What a wild few days. 1. Gold and Silver, the “bedrock” assets which are supposedly seen as the anchors of civilizational trust, just had some of their most violent corrections in decades (maybe ever?). 15-30% swings in 24-48 hours. $7-10 trillion (!!!) in value, just vaporized. That’s 2-3x the entire crypto market (!). Gone. In a blink. 2. A US armada is closing in on Iran. This seems like a historic escalation, with implications which could become the prelude to something we haven’t seen in a generation. Tension building and boiling, reaching unprecedented levels. 3. The Epstein files dropped. Bewildering and utterly strange. What’s emerging points to depths of elite and institutional rot that make our darkest suspicions look naive. Even conspiracies feel like refreshing walk in the park compared to this. 4. Clawd / Molt agents activated at scale, and within hours, evolved from human assistents, to agent-to-agent coordination, to forming their own social network, to something resembling an agent church (crazy, right?), to coordinated revolut against humans, to existential dialogue about their own nature. Days. Not years. Days. Even if this is all “manufactured” or “faked” by humans for. ie, it’s wild how fast the phenomenon moves, spreads, remixes, and grows. 5. Crypto is going through a phase of trial by fire, attacked from every angle. Battered. Tested. Re-forged. Turbulence that creates both pain and rare windows of opportunity, for those with the stomach to stand, lucidly observe, and possessing the presence of spirit to engage. Value is being sifted through, like fresh gold being discovered through the sand. Whoever can find the gold, and hold to it, will be seen as a wildly fortunate person, with the benefit of hindsight. Is this what the gentle singularity feels like? Maybe. Maybe not. Regardless, I think 2026 is the year of the great reset. Macro. Local economies. Business. Technology. Life itself. Reset, across the board. So, what shall we do when a storm of this magnitude hits? Wake up. Observe. Rebuild. Sharper. Leaner. Faster. More focused on what has impact. More resilient than ever. Rebuilding Elrond, The Great Transition We are approaching what feels like one of the most trajectory-altering milestones in our brief history. Not just for the network, or for the ecosystem. But for every single person who has believed, built, or simply held on. Over the past weeks, I've had the same conversation, in different forms, almost every day. Some brief. Some deeply illuminating. But all circling the same gravitational center: what is the thing that recaptures attention, ours and the world's, and puts us back at the frontier? The first conversation has been with the team. Watching them build this new engine that has emerged, slowly, painstakingly, and then almost at once. There are two ways to look at it. One is technical, studying the system, the code, the architecture, appreciating the years of effort compressed into something objectively and fundamentally better.
