PhD folks considering a move beyond academia often deal with grief -- loss of a sense of self, loss of a "dream job" vision of their career & life. Focus on what elements of yourself & that vision are truly fundamental to who you are & what you want, then seek them out elsewhere.

My 7yo son imagines fancifully ambitious Lego projects, pathetically absent in any detail. He then demands that I execute them, and regularly checks on my progress without offering any constructive input. I think he is destined to be a PI.
