I see X is very active today, and while I’m sitting back watching everything unfold, I’ll just say this… At first I thought it was white vs black. Then Rich vs Poor. Then Christian vs Jew. Then Gay vs Straight. Then Republican vs Democrat. Now I know the truth. It’s good vs evil. We are everywhere and so are they. 🥷⚔️🇺🇸

Not sure where you get this taqiyya from — Islam's foundational text is heretical to both the Old Testament and the New, and even the most reliable of its many authors are 2-300 years removed from events it describes. Here's how the Quran describes Abraham, in Surah Ali 'Imran 3:67: “Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a true Muslim Hanifa and he was not of Al-Mushrikun.” Mohammed spent years trying to design Islam and gather followers yet gives no prophecy, and despite finally finding some success after adopting some of their religious practices, his cult of crimes against Mosaic Law share nothing in common with the Word of God, directly rejecting it in favor of deceit, conquest, and slaughter. He is a liar, a thief, and a fraud.

@RobertBurns82 Of course you know that Christians, Jews and Muslims trace their origins to the God of Abraham(the patriarch in Genesis). They are strictly monotheistic at core(one God, creator of the universe),revere many of the same prophets and draw from overlapping scriptures or traditions.

Just for reference, this is the preamble to the North Carolina state Constitution: We, the people of the State of North Carolina, grateful to Almighty God, the Sovereign Ruler of Nations, for the preservation of the American Union and the existence of our civil, political and religious liberties, and acknowledging our dependence upon Him for the continuance of those blessings, do, for the more certain security thereof and for the better government of this State, ordain and establish this Constitution.

@SlimWiggy @mattvanswol Governors are now demonstrating the same degree of coordination that Congress Democrats did throughout their two or three most recent propaganda pushes. After the Virginia Gun Bill, I'm finding fewer reasons to keep using Hanlon's Razor.

Well… it’s true. Democrat North Carolina Governor, Josh Stein, has formally recognized Ramadan in the state for February 17 – March 19, 2026. The declaration states Ramadan is to be: “commended in its observance to ALL residents…” This is absolutely insane…

@bifive_ @creynoldsnc It's when the currency transitioned to fiat. We've been redistributing wealth in ever-increasing amounts since 1913 — we reached the peak of the Laffer Curve already, so now wealth extraction takes place by inflating the money supply.

@martindale @1440000bytes @4moonsettler Eric, I love and respect you. I enjoyed the time that we worked together at Blockstream. But we haven’t talked in years. I exited in 2021, and I’ve been putting all my efforts and resources into the nanotechnology company I am running now.

Listen up, you fucking idiots. Bitcoin is humanity's last chance to shed the shackles of Central Banking. Without it, we are doomed to suffer under one Government or another, as they will be forever subject to the power wielded by those that issue the currency. There is no playing around anymore. There is no time for bullshit games or popularity contests. The enemy is very real, very present, and very active. Bitcoin needs you. Show up.

@1440000bytes @4moonsettler Is BIP 360 just a hash at the root, not an EC commitment to a hash? Then yes this is a huge step forward in quantum resistance. I haven’t read the proposal though (I don’t work on or own bitcoin, or any crypto these days).

There are no alternatives to Bitcoin — it is the only system which preserves the requisite properties of a good money, and therefore the only system which actually functions as an unstoppable form of payment in the face of oppression. All subsequent copycats have either weaker security models or a well-identified creator, making them useless against motivated attackers such as Central Banks and the Governments they manage. “The root problem with conventional currency is all the trust that’s required to make it work. The central bank must be trusted not to debase the currency. Banks must be trusted to hold our money, but they lend it out with barely a fraction in reserve.” — Satoshi Nakamoto Should a superior system emerge, I would sell everything and use that instead. Some portion of unwitting scammers will continue to try, but Bitcoin will just adopt whatever optimizations are developed and tested on these weaker chains (if they somehow prove effective). Happy to critique anything you think comes close.

It matters because Bitcoiners derail discussion of alternative cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is taking up all the oxygen in the room. That’s especially bad if it’s already compromised. This post isn’t about Bitcoin being broken, it’s about the discussion being broken.

We need a secure, decentralized, denationalized cryptocurrency. The problem with discussing Bitcoin in this context: It is impossible to distinguish those who believe in it and are therefore invested, from those who are invested in it and therefore believe.
