Does it really hurt anyone to give a bit of ketamine… or some midazolam?
Doesn’t have to be whole log, I get that in higher doses it can potentially have deleterious effects.
I honestly struggle to see a strong rationale for a paralytic-only intubation.

@fuzzymittens Saw the clamp come off an umbilical cord in a c-section and my attending got “hosed down” with blood from the cord. Wall behind him had blood everywhere .Not a single word in the or spoken (pt awake). Hilarious
