A little over a year and several rounds of procrastination later, I finally built something "Iya Oloja" is an open API for Nigerian market data. You can explore it, use it, and contribute markets from your state/LGA. It’s live: iya-oloja.pages.dev And if you like it, please checkout and star the repo too: github.com/Ifihan/nigeria…
Ifihan 👩🏾‍🍳🛠️@Ifihan_

And it’s really sad because that’s part of what provides an idea of how your solution should be. Imagine not having the amounts of markets in Nigeria or even a close estimate 😅

“Meet the best landlord in the world, my former landlord, the moment he knew I was building my own permanent place, he gave me his full support, my rent expired last year June but this man didn't allow me to renew my rent again, he gave me extra 6 months rent free to complete my building. You can imagine leaving a rented space to your own permanent site, this man made it possible. I’ll forever be indebted you sir. Thank you for making this journey an easy one..." My dad once told me that when he moved to Lagos in 1988, the first house he rented at 101 Powerline Orile-Agege was owned by a man named Mr. Ajakaye. Instead of giving him a fixed rent, the landlord simply asked, “How much do you have?” my dad was shocked. It didn’t stop there. Anytime my dad had a new child, this man would waive the rent for that month and the next two months. In fact, from the moment he heard my dad was planning to move into his own house in 1996, he stopped collecting rent entirely. I often wonder if that kindness is what shaped my dad’s own generosity. He ran his house like a form of charity while he was alive and I’ve continued that legacy. For almost 8 years now, I haven’t increased the rent for the tenants in his house, despite how much things have changed. The internet is a big place, but I just want to say thank you to that man Mr. Ajakaye. He was truly special, and I hope this message somehow reaches his children.

When you build a product that collects Nigerian user data and you have never heard of NDPR, I genuinely hope you don't find out about it through a lawsuit. The Nigeria Data Protection Regulation requires: • A real privacy policy users can actually read • Explicit consent before collecting personal data • Data minimization — only collect what you need • Breach notification within 72 hours if user data is exposed • A Data Protection Officer if you process data at scale NITDA can fine you up to 2% of annual gross revenue or ₦10 million whichever is higher. Most Nigerian devs have never heard of this. They ship, collect BVNs, phone numbers, emails with zero compliance structure. NDPR is not just a big company problem. If you have users, you are responsible for their data.

I read her story on TikTok. She was a beautiful lady, nothing was wrong with her before pregnancy. She got pregnant and had a child, and suddenly, she couldn’t see with her eyes again, and next thing, tumour in her brain, all of this happened postpartum. I’ve said it before (check my page) and I’ll say it again, I’m so scared of the evil that pregnancy and childbirth are capable of doing to women’s life. Pregnancy and childbirth will forever be a life threatening condition to me, and you don’t necessarily have to agree. Lastly, to those men who said they’ll abandoned their wife who’s in labour to go and stay with their friend that got shot in hospital, ẹyin nu, ọlọhun nu.

Google is basically saying: “We’ve cut the quantum resources needed to break Bitcoin’s encryption by 20x. We can now break it. We can prove it. We’re just not going to tell you how. We’ve slowed down research to give crypto a chance. You have until 2029 to figure out a solution. Good luck.”

Many are wondering "what Google saw" that caused them to revise their post-quantum cryptography transition deadline to 2029 last week. It was this: research.google/blog/safeguard…

🚨‼️ Everyone on my timeline, especially techies should take this seriously. As of 30th March 2026 ( Yesterday), one of npm’s most widely used packages was reportedly compromised. Not a fake package. Not a lookalike. The actual Axios package, used in hundreds of thousands of Node.js projects. Including yours. Including mine.

‼️Do not npm install or deploy anything right now Supply chain attack on axios 1.14.1 - even if you don’t use axios it may be a nested dep. Pin versions or wait until this is resolved

@npmjs @GHSecurityLab there is an active supply chain attack on axios@1.14.1 which pulls in a malicious package published today - plain-crypto-js@4.2.1 - someone took over a maintainer account for Axios

Good question. Design is everything. Basically use high efficiency high capacity panels ie 24% PV efficiency and 650w PV. Use multiple charge controllers which is not that hard since a lot of Inveters come multiple CC built in. This allows you to leverage every side of your roof. Ultimately a good installer can use software to simulate your roof space and note how much PV can be installed.
Seun Osewa 🇳🇬@seunosewa

@bigbrovar What to do if roof space is limited and not uniform?

In today's episode of solar is a scam. Cooking classic rice and beans with fish stew on my induction burner. All using "fraudulent" self generated electricity from solar. Have 2 AC on, a fridge and freezer plus multiple lights and TV and Fan.. you general stuff in a 4 room apartment. Guess my total power consumption?
