If you’re talking to voters across the 5th, not just in her bubble, you’ll hear a lot of Dems voicing concerns about her work as a rep.

Omar won, but she lost 44% of voters in a heavily Democratic district- and more in her last primary. I hope she’s looking into why she’s missing so many voters and is open to making adjustments.

@IlhanMN 44% of District 5 voters put in the effort to vote for someone else. This doesn’t feel like an overwhelming win. It feels like there’s a disconnect between you and nearly half of the district you represent. Voted for you but not without reservations.

This seat is for all of us. I will continue to take our hopes and dreams to the People’s House.

I am honored that my community voted to *send me back to Congress*. Tonight’s victory shows that the Fifth District believes in the collective values we are fighting for in Washington.

@ModestTeacher Disagree. Student apathy comes from feeling like no one cares about them and what they’re doing. My students know I am paying attention and am going to ask for their best. Most adults in their lives are checked out- partially or fully. The kids aren’t the only screen addicts.

Student apathy is driven, in large part, by the fact that students find what we teach irrelevant and obsolete. Agree or disagree?

There’s a loftiness to thinking we can have our protest votes and still wind up with leaders who will do the most good for the most people after the general election. How’d we get Trump in the first place?

I love my country and believe in my heart that someday it will do better. Be better. But today I raise my hand and say stop. A deeply held belief of my faith is standing against injustice, even when it’s hard. To protect the lives of others as I’m able. Here I am. Solidarity.
