We’re emotionally isolated. Most men have no close friends they can actually open up to without being called weak. In virtually every country that still has conscription, only men are forced into it. Women are exempt. We lose our kids in family court at staggering rates (80-85% of custodial parents are mothers). Many good fathers see their children a few days a month and still pay most of the bills. We’re blamed and shamed for existing. “Toxic masculinity,” “men are trash,” “kill all men” jokes. Now imagine the reverse said about women. It would be a national scandal. Physically? We get kicked in the nuts and society laughs. We’re more prone to lethal cancers earlier in life, have almost no reproductive rights (one signature on a birth certificate and you’re financially on the hook for 18+ years whether you wanted the kid or not), and if we’re injured or incapacitated, very few people rush to help a man the way they do a woman. A sad fact is the only flowers most men will ever receive in their entire lifetime is at their funeral. None of this cancels out women’s pain. It just means men hurt too, just a bit quieter.
