I would say, if the Mavs think Cisse is a better long term player…then him being a free agent this offseason is better. If they signed him right now, the longest his contract could be is a 2 year minimum deal including this season (FA summer of 2027) If they wait till the offseason then they can sign him to a low or minimum deal for up to 4 years (FA summer of 2030)
