Wrapped up our fall Bob Lewis wood bat league today. Overall we went 10-2 and had a great time. I finished the season hitting .379 with 9 singles and 3 doubles, 5 SB’s Ready to grind in the offseason to be ready for spring.

My favorite to win the newly formed Mountain 8 Conference this Spring is @AthleticsPisgah. There are a lot of recognizable names at the top of the Bears roster, but it will be players like 2027 OF @masonyoungbb27 that will really determine how deep this roster really is and what it can accomplish Still new to the game, Young is a good athlete, that will be asked to hold down a Corner OF spot and give productive ABs further down in the lineup to compliment some of the more experience bats ahead of him However, he's starting to flash a bat tool & could be a pleasant surprise for Coach Shepperd offensively: good barrel, stays on plane, hips and hands work well together. Getting stronger will be the best way to take advantage of that foundation as there is a need for more pop & bat speed Has made a lot of gains quickly; needs to embrace role player archetype this season, do the little things right, be reliable, keep working and let the bigger gains come at their own pace. Athletic 5'11" 165 frame 3.66 GPA w/ a desire to pursue a degree on Education (Ag Teacher)

2027 OF @masonyoungbb27 of @AthleticsPisgah has quietly made gains, catching up to some of his Pisgah Senior teammates. Mason started playing baseball in 7th grade and has become a lot more comfortable with the speed of the game in that time frame.
Mason had a lot of competitive ABs and barreled XBHs for Coach Sheppard's JV Bears; Mason then carried that approach over into the Summer season with @VeloBaseballWNC
Steady eyes in the OF, fairly good body control as he works on more fluid routes. I see potential in the swing as he gets on plane fairly well. Actually looked more comfortable and athletic in his set up during the JV/Summer season; want to see that carry over
7.27 runner, but wiry athletic frame says he can improve. Two full seasons for a coachable athlete who wants to study Education or Agriculture w/ the goal of becoming an Ag Teacher. 3.66 GPA
