Michigan State basketball’s non conference slate is gonna be pretty nuts next season:
Exhibition vs UConn at the Bres
Duke in Chicago
Arkansas in Detroit
Gonzaga in Palm Springs
Tennessee in Knoxville
Some rumors going around we could potentially play Arizona in Phoenix too.
All of those are top 10-15 caliber teams on paper.

@BearsCork I trust the coaching staff that these players will develop and contribute to some wins
English

@calpostbbolch Great to see, hopefully these kids can have a good off-season together
English

With three players committed to returning and as many as three more possibly on the way back, UCLA men's basketball could keep a big part of its core together next season.

@SpartanAvenueFS I believe a veteran center is a priority to beef up front line. If they can retain what they have along with freshman they will have enough perimeter depth to manage fears minutes. He carried the load last year.
English

If Michigan State wants to get to Detroit a year from now for the Final Four, it has some roster moves to make.
If Tom Izzo makes these moves, MSU will be a title favorite. spartanavenue.com/3-offseason-ro…

@JonRothstein What an amazing 2 weekends of hoops!!! This tourney never disappoints. Should be a great final 4
English

@ACumbow Need a zapalla type center from the portal to beef up front line. Hopefully Scott/ Mcolloch have a good off season in the weight room. Only player I see transferring is maybe teng( hope not) he’s a Spartan dawg. He’s worked his butt off. Very talented team if it stays like this
English

Roster season is here. Worst time of the year.
Eligible players to return:
Fears
Carr
Glenn
Teng
McCulloch
Divine
Scott
Ward
Incoming players:
Medlock
Jervis
Taylor
Avent
Thoughts:
1. Have to find a way to retain Fears and Carr which I think happens but that’s a must.
2. Probably will be a transfer or two out. I hate speculating on transfers but I’d be pretty surprised to see all the guards back.
3. HAVE to land a center. I love Taylor coming in but it’s gonna take some time. Can’t put too much pressure on him in year one.
4. I think fans myself included are going to absolutely love Medlock and Jervis from day one. These two kids are truly offensively gifted hoopers that will be fun to watch.
Add it all up and there’s no reason MSU shouldn’t be in the hunt next year. I hate “all or nothing” in College Basketball but next year is truly an all in type of year. Izz will be 72 and the Final Four is in Detroit.
Thoughts?

@SpartanAvenueFS Can definitely see them going portal for center. I think more of a zapalla type player. They will be thin and young up front but talented.

Time to rip off the band-aid.
Here's what Michigan State's starting lineup could look like to begin next season, before any roster moves are made by Tom Izzo. spartanavenue.com/way-too-early-…

@WeeklyGeneral Fears, carr, Glenn, ward, a very good class coming in. Hopefully teng and mcollough don’t transfer. We will have a nice team next year
English

Gonna miss these two badly, but Jeremy is the main piece on this team and he isn’t leaving East Lansing without a final four
Michigan State Country@CountryMichSt
They will be missed in Green and White.
English

@CountryMichSt great kids, they are what college hoops are about!!
English

@DarkoStateNews Slow start definitely hurt us, we dominated the paint but missed a lot of good looks in the paint
Tough one to swallow, felt we were the better team
English

@MSU_Basketball Good season fellas, thank you seniors! Been a pleasure watching you grow and develop into good men and basketball players. Graduation next!! Enjoy the off-season and keep working hard! See you soon!

@GottliebShow 100% different, the coach is an adult in the workforce. The kid is a student athlete playing amateur basketball while make some cash through their NIL. Nothing wrong with either
English

It is different. A head coach is responsible for the entire program. A player is not. But, if we want to compare Wade has a buyout of $3m which is $500k more than his all in salary at NC State. So, if we sign players to a multi year deal, and they pay a buy out, are we fair then?
Myron Medcalf@MedcalfByESPN
Will Wade, who wants to leave NC State after a year, is allowed to do this. That’s just the reality, whether you agree or not. Also, a 19-year-old athlete, who wants to leave after a year and go to a place where they feel comfortable, can do it, too. Don’t tell me it’s different.
English

@aaron_heisen He’s a good ball player, would love to see him a bruin
English

I could see #UCLA giving this the same treatment it did Donovan Dent in the transfer portal last year.
Mick Cronin has talked highly of Jackson Shelstad. He and Trent Perry would be a dynamic backcourt.
Travis Branham@TravisBranham_
NEWS: Oregon guard Jackson Shelstad intends to enter the transfer portal, a source confirmed to @247SportsPortal. Averaged 15.6 PPG, 2.9 RPG and 4.9 APG this season in 12 games. Is repped by @MomentousSP.
English

@StephenM_Brooks He is an X factor for this team off the bench. Let’s hope it can keep going!!
English

No Spartan is having more fun than Trey Fort right now. While he's always said the right things, you could detect his disappointment with how this year played out.
On the best story of MSU's postseason after Fort shines in a pair of wins in Buffalo:
