@ValueAddedRS @ryancohen Bring back the old ebay TURBO LISTER. It worked far better than this so-called AI bulk listing placeholder.

More real experiences from a real $EBAY seller (and ex-employee)👇 This is what 6 years of Jamie Iannone's tech-led reimagination has brought to the platform.🤦‍♀️ $GME @ryancohen "Ex-eBay Director tried eBay's multiple listing AI tool and it is rubbish!" youtube.com/watch?v=-JWjIe…

@ValueAddedRS I don’t disagree with your perspective. I do however think he would do well to broaden the scope beyond fixing what’s broken.

@ValueAddedRS You don’t have to be an eBay seller to notice the limited category perspective Cohen has focused on in all his interviews. Any institutional or individual shareholder aware of eBay’s inventory categories as a whole could be excused for concern regarding the rest of the platform.

My take on this: collectibles are the obvious fit between $EBAY & $GME, so it makes sense that has been a focal point in many of Ryan Cohen's interviews & GameStop's communications around the eBay offer. It's a strong, concrete part of the plan for shareholders on both sides & anyone who may be involved in any potential financing to anchor into. What I've seen Ryan saying about the rest of the marketplace is more general & high level, but still important. Fixing technical issues, improving customer service & relationships with sellers, addressing fraud problems etc..those are all things Ryan has touched on in one way or another that would help sellers across the platform, regardless of category. Cost cutting is easier to quantify with a dollar amount, but it's clear that Ryan also sees opportunity for long-term value & growth in fixing the broken stuff & making it better & easier for users across the board to transact on the site. Totally understand that eBay sellers would like more detailed answers about *how* he's going to do all that, especially because they've heard some of those things from current & past management that never delivered. But I also understand that there's only so much depth Ryan can get into right now. There are obvious reasons not to reveal too much about plans at this stage in the game, not to mention that it makes sense not to tie yourself to specific solutions when you're still outside the business. Ultimately, as big as the collectibles & live pieces may be, imo he isn't going to get to the size/scope he's targeting on those alone - so there are incentives to grow the broader core marketplace too & I expect we'll hear more about that as/when things progress.

Elephant in GameStop/eBay potential acquisition for me: besides live selling (not well suited to all items/sellers), what general ideas does Ryan Cohen have to grow core eBay marketplace? “Collectibles” related/tangential to $GME are only part of eBay’s inventory. @ValueAddedRS

Just carted a food item on which ebay illegally charged state sales tax 2 days ago 2 see if my report 2 Customer Service made a difference. Nope. Still adding sales tax to properly categorized food item bound for US state disallowing tax on food. Notified seller. @ValueAddedRS

According to Google, 41 states and Washington, D.C., do not charge a state-level sales tax on basic food items intended for home consumption. Imagine the possibilities for eBay GMV. @ValueAddedRS

So here’s a nice little ebay racket. I ordered a specialty food item from an ebay seller whose store is all about organic food. My state does not allow sales tax to be charged on food items. But ebay charged it anyway. @ValueAddedRS

So the buyer pays taxes that they shouldn't...and the seller pays fees on taxes that they shouldn't...and eBay gets to count taxes in GMV that they shouldn't. Yep, nice little racket $EBAY has going there. 💰

@ValueAddedRS So correct category for not charging sales tax for food items where the buyer address prohibits it. And up to 60 days to get it refunded. 😡

Saw this on Facebook in a seller group. Looks like USPS is taking steps on packages where weight is under-reported to take advantage of cheaper rates for heavier parcels.

Checking in on the new eBay community forum & noticed something strange. 👀 The onsite search claims there are no results for "GameStop" - but a Google site search pulls up multiple links, all of which are still active if you click through. Interesting...🤔 $EBAY $GME

📢 The eBay community forum is migrating to a new platform June 11, 2026. Move will erase decades of user posts, burying history of long-standing customer service & performance issues at $EBAY as pre-2023 content is set to be dumped down the memory hole.🚩

Theodore Roosevelt is often misquoted as saying "The more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future." Whether he said it or not, it's still worth considering - especially for those closely monitoring the $EBAY $GME situation.🧐 #ThrowbackThursday
