Canada has never been a friend of the United States; there is a very false narrative peddled by delusional liberals that because we are colonial cousins & geographic neighbors, we are "friends" with Canada. Our militaries have historically had a mutual respect for one another, but Canada has always been an economic & cultural rival to the United States. You see it everything they do; they actively take delight in being "not the United States". Trump's administrations rightfully recognizing that Canada is not a friend was possibly one of the most America First moves by a president in decades. In other words; it's time to take control the 51st state and end the charade.

The financial side of this reminds me of the 1984 LA Olympics. Only this time it's 2026 FIFA. Prior to the '84 Olympics no country wanted to host the games because it was a financial drain. The U.S. commercialized the Olympics and made $$$. Immediately the world wanted to host the next one. U.S. capitalism won the economic contest. The 2026 FIFA World Cup has been brilliantly executed by FIFA and the USA soccer team, delivering a similar $$$ outcome. Again, the free market capitalistic roadmap is created in the USA. The rest of the world will struggle to pull it off again, just like they did after the '84 Olympics. The next few FIFA World Cups need to be in STABLE ECONOMIC nations where capitalism and free markets can drive the games, and nation subsidies are not needed. This is the 2026 part that surprised the FIFA tournament organizers. No govt subsidies were needed for games in the USA. Hence, FIFA made a ton of extra $$$.
