@aftersunmatt Interesting proposal. My kids' teachers are often off in term time, for trainings, & it's disruptive. Other countries - the US and France for ex - have superb holiday camps, residential or daytime, which are great moneymakers & offer kids something refreshingly different.

This is a brilliant idea. Typical, however, that EduTwitter has to pick holes from every angle (“I’m not a babysitter…etc”). It’s not a perfect solution, but nor would it be mandatory - just good for those who could make use of the time in a different but still meaningful way.

@LibbyPageWrites I remember this well from nearly a decade ago when my children were this age. Making matters worse, every time my father visited from abroad he would immediately catch their nursery bugs and be confined to his room for half of the visit. It gets better once the children are 4+

I've basically been ill non-stop since my son started nursery in September and it's just so exhausting. It feels like life is on pause and I can't see it improving. Please tell me it does. (And yes, we all take multivitamins)
