@johnjoricher I haven’t used Flipgrid, but I am familiar with how it works. That would be cool, especially since time differences prevent a live video conference.

@oconhop Notice: if 4 pieces are 90 calories, then 6 pieces should be 135 calories (not 140). Wonder: what formula are they using to calculate the number of calories in a serving or “thoughtful portion”? How much rounding is occurring?

@mathwizlizz Here is a template (nothing fancy) that I use with my students for every proof we write. They seem to make more connections this way and are more confident in writing proofs. drive.google.com/open?id=1MoUxR…

@mathwizlizz In the past, I always had great success using multiple representations. I would write (and have my ss write) each proof 3 different ways: two-column, flow/multi-flow, and paragraph. I explain that the two-column and flow proofs are really more like stepping stones to paragraphs.

I teach Geometry and need ideas on how to introduce & teach logic and proofs. How do you keep Ss engaged when introducing proofs? Suggestions and resources? #MTBoS

@mathwizlizz I recently discovered @CanFigureIt which seems very promising for scaffolding the proof writing process. I haven’t used it with students yet though. Anyone else have experience with it? canfigureit.com

@b_wolley @euclidea_app My first week of class will be focused on developing relationships, routines, and reasoning skills. I plan on using @euclidea_app during class on our tablets for one of the reasoning activities. I may revisit it periodically as a warmup or when we are learning constructions.

@mathmakeover @euclidea_app I'm thinking of using it then too, @mathmakeover. Do you have any ideas for how to assign it? If for homework, any ideas for how students would deemonstrate that they used it?
