This morning I helped @AmpCode teach itself to create and edit Google Slides presentations for me. Here's a snapshot of early stages; later snapshots are too polished to be interesting. Amp writes Python code to invoke the Slides API for slide CRUD, then MCP + Playwright to check its work and revisit the formatting. Amp and I went through a couple dead-ends with service accounts on GCP, ultimately succeeding with OAuth2 credentials I generated, plus a saved user auth token to let it keep working without reauthenticating. Now I just tell it, add a slide, update this slide, add this image, whatever, and it does it. Amp is not just for coding. It's for everything-ing.

Another interesting consideration should Vision One "work" long-term and become the best way to watch live sports from home is Apple's growing position in the market for sports rights. How will Apple convince FOX, for example, to let them stream the 2026 World Cup on Vision One? Disney, etc. licensing their libraries to Netflix back in the day and inadvertently contributing to the emergence of a juggernaut they would later have to compete with is a great comp. Apple's interest in sports rights makes even more sense now beyond growing Apple TV+ subs. They already have MLS, some MLB, and other rights, and have reportedly bid on some of the most high-profile packages out there (e.g. NFL Sunday Ticket). Will be fascinating to watch unfold over the coming years if Vision One nails the consumption use-case for home entertainment. 🍿

Would take a bit of detective work, but I wonder if @dvdaltizer, @iupdate or @MacRumors would be up for the task? Again this would only work if the sports game demos were of actual games and not just staged performances.

I don’t have the time per se to look up what I’m thinking about. So they showed that NBA game. Was that a real game? If it was a real game, should be able to go back and look at what is courtside to see the camera that they are using for capturing the Vision Pro demo footage.
