The horrific scenes on US streets will only accelerate this trend. Tourism was already collapsing. Boycott or fear of attending World Cup in play. Boycotts of US goods and divestment already underway. We are losing innocent lives, billions of $ and best allies for no good reason.
Phil Gordon@PhilGordonDC

If you tried to design a plan to get Europeans to unite against the US, diversity investments, boycott U.S. goods, reorient trade, reduce tourism, and refuse joint action against our adversaries you'd struggle to find a better one than US foreign policy over the past few weeks.

Okay so, 1) an American citizen exercises his First Amendment right to peaceably assemble and his Second Amendment right to bear arms, out of apparent concern that a tyrannical federal government is violating basic protections afforded under the Constitution 2) after coming to the aid of an unarmed woman who's been shoved to the ground by a masked federal agent, the citizen -- impaired by pepper spray, holding nothing but a cell phone -- is dragged to the ground by a group of other masked agents 3) during the scuffle, shortly after one masked agent removes the weapon from the restrained citizen's person, several other masked agents open fire, unloading 10 shots from close range and killing the unarmed citizen 4) despite video evidence, a spokesman for the federal government says the citizen approached agents with a gun, provoked a violent confrontation, and planned to "massacre" law enforcement You really want to defend this? Go ahead. Just know, you look like an absolute fool.

Anita Orbán is an experienced diplomat and at the same time the highest-achieving Hungarian female leader in the international business world. The new foreign affairs leader of TISZA brings an insider’s perspective on diplomacy, foreign and energy policy, as well as decision-making at major international corporations. Anita Orbán has returned to her homeland from a top managerial position in London to strengthen the TISZA team as the foreign policy leader in our preparations for governing. Anita began her career in Germany, then lived and studied in the United States, before returning to Hungary to put her knowledge to use and start a family. She is the first Hungarian to earn a doctorate from the United States’ oldest school of diplomacy, the Fletcher School in Boston. She is the only Hungarian diplomat whose academic book was published in America and is available in university libraries worldwide. Anita Orbán is an internationally recognized expert in energy security. As Hungary’s ambassador-at-large for energy security (2010–2015), she was heard by both the European Parliament and the U.S. Congress as a leading expert on the topic; in the latter, she represented the Visegrád countries. She is the only Hungarian diplomat who, after leaving the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also reached the top of the business world. Alongside István Kapitány, she is the highest-achieving Hungarian business leader. From 2015 to 2020, she worked in the American liquefied natural gas industry, first at the world’s second-largest LNG company, Cheniere, and then at a startup (Tellurian), where she was responsible for Central European, Southeast Asian, and North African markets as well. In 2021, she switched sectors and moved toward digitalization. From 2021 to 2023, she served as Deputy CEO and Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of Vodafone Hungary, and then as a Public Affairs Director at Vodafone Global until recently in London. She is originally from Berettyóújfalu, where she lived until the age of 18. To this day, she considers herself a local patriot and is deeply grateful for what she received from her parents and the Hungarian countryside: a sense of Hungarian identity, perseverance, diligence, and love of country. She was a journalist and head of the foreign affairs section at Heti Válasz., worked in the civil sector as well, co-founder of several organizations, and winner of numerous awards. For the past five years, she has continuously appeared on the Forbes magazine list of the most influential Hungarian women. She is most proud of her three children. Her core values are lifelong learning and good humor. And what she firmly believes in is that public life can be responsible, serving, and humane.
Magyar Péter (Ne féljetek)@magyarpeterMP

On Saturday, I will introduce the person who will be responsible for leading TISZA’s foreign affairs. Major tasks lie ahead, above all the restoration of genuine Hungarian sovereignty. It is an honor that the country’s most recognized experts are joining us, one by one, to help bring about systemic political change.
