Junior Caminero was confused why Payton Tolle was celebrating a strikeout this much in a game the Red Sox were losing 3-0

@resetbasis I remember the sleep deprivation. I don't think any of those last four games ended before midnight. And there was no way you could get to sleep being that amped up.

In 2004, I was a bartender at the Cask 'n Flagon next to Fenway Park. I'll never forget what this series was like in Boston. Down 3-0, everyone in Boston said, "The curse is real, maybe next year." Down 3-1, everyone said, "Well, we were bound to win one." Heading into game 6, the city started to feel different. The series was 3-2, and everyone knew no one had ever come back from a 3-0 hole. Especially not the cursed Red Sox. Still...maybe? There was no social media back then; everyone watched the same thing at the same time. It was one of a handful of truly shared social experiences I've been a part of. "Where are you watching the game?" When they won game 6, people started to believe it was destiny. Every single bar and restaurant was showing the game, and people came out of their homes to watch it in public spaces, hoping to be part of something historic. French restaurants, coffee shops, and any place with a TV became a packed sports bar. I was behind the bar for Game 7. The game was played at Yankee Stadium, but the bars next to Fenway were at capacity for hours before the game. I've never been in an environment like that since; the tension and the excitement, the "what if we actually do this?" People hung on every pitch. When they made the final out just after midnight, the place exploded. People celebrated, thousands came down to the Fenway area and ran through the streets. I watched the broadcast show people running through the streets as they ran past the bar's windows. No phones, no selfies, no Instagram, just people living in the moment. Everyone on that team has a special place in Boston sports history. Whenever I see this video, I'm reminded of how incredible sports can be sometimes.

@NESN @WBMasonCo Four hits is not a "groove." Eight LOB, and going 0-4 with RISP is also, not a groove. Now, starting pitching; that has definitely improved.

"Like I said early in the year, 'It's just a matter of time' [for] everybody get back to the rhythm and the timing... the results are coming, we can see, everybody can see it." Wilyer Abreu on this Red Sox team starting to settle into a groove 🎙️ Presented by @WBMasonCo

@matmiz22 @tylermilliken_ Hamate wont show up on xray. Only on mri. Seems like it could be that given bottom hand on bat. Bat knob is culprit can snap hook of hanate right off and becomes bone spur in your wrist causing paim through hand. If left untreated could resupyin nerve damage

Feels like that MRI is going to tell us a lot about where Roman Anthony is at. Just brutal to see him deal with an injury every single time his bat starts to heat up.

So let's fast forward to 2 months from now. The war in Iran is long over and that terrorist nation is no longer a threat. Hamas and Hezbollah have been wiped out.  Gas prices have fallen below $2 a gallon. Stocks are back to their all-time highs. With the Iranian threat gone in the Middle East investment pours into the area. Rebuilding starts in Gaza. The US economy takes off as all of that newly onshored business starts hiring. And once again Democrats have nothing. I'm feeling pretty good about the midterms. Thoughts? ⬇️

For those who write crap Varenyky is a Ukrainian dish. In Poland it is called pyrogy ruski (meaning Ukrainian, because Rus is Ukraine (There is also a street in Lviv called Ruska and Ukrainian laws were called Pravda Ruska.)) and it came to Poland from Ukraine. x.com/grok/status/20…

@gfstarr1 Sounds like big changes were needed. At minimum, the hitting staff should have been fired. The approaches at the plate were/are horrible. Basic stuff like taking their eyes off the ball. Issues that should have been corrected in spring training.

In 2025, the Red Sox were the last MLB team to be shut out, and not until Game 60. Tonight was their 30th game of the season, and already their third shutout loss. bostonherald.com/2026/04/28/red…

@tydollasign17 @NHLBruins I respect your stance and yes, the D wasn't supporting him in the 3rd, but that's when a goalie has to stand on his head and steal that game. I haven't seen Sway do that since he was platooning a couple years ago. In the playoffs shots should be smothered, Sway's a pinball paddle
