When individuals can no longer verify truth, whoever controls verification controls reality When the public can’t distinguish real from fake, a solution will be proposed: “We need official verification” Institutions will build verification systems that verify what is real. Institutions will decide and control what is real. They grant themselves authority over reality itself Until now, institutions have claimed to be arbiters of truth, but evidence could contradict them. They could lie, but lies could be exposed When evidence itself becomes unfalsifiable, and institutions have control over verification of reality.. they can define reality. They become gatekeepers of truth and reality itself This is the end goal of institutional authority. Controlling reality itself is the ultimate authority

S&P 500 perp contracts running 24/7 will lead to greater instability and inevitable collapse The market opening and closing was the last natural brake of the global index. Without it, we will see continuous forced execution until it breaks

@WilliamRamseyIn Being dead or just a psyop, why? What's their angle here in being completely foolish. I think they wanted us to know it was AI.

Beyond the obvious red flags—such as: 1) The release of three blatant AI-generated images of Netanyahu in the past week, 2) Yair Netanyahu's complete radio silence since March 8th, 3) And Netanyahu's conspicuous absence from key security meetings with fellow Baalists. One of the strongest indicators that Netanyahu is no longer with us is the total lack of any scheduled talks or meetings with world leaders, now or in the foreseeable future. Not even Trump. Not a single one.

@MartyBent Institutions existing is not the problem. The problem is them accumulating power Cryptography does enable digital sovereignty through explicit authorization: zenodo.org/records/187221… And collective sovereignty can be achieved with cognitive coordination without authority

In the AI era we may need new epistemic infrastructure: Systems that preserve the history of claims and support over time without pretending to determine truth Because once “seeing is believing” fails, memory may become the new anchor of reality

A system that records claims is very different from a system that enforces outcomes One preserves cognition, the other exercises authority

For most of modern history we relied on a simple epistemic rule: that seeing is believing Photos and videos served as evidence. That assumption is now collapsing

This is what happens when execution authority is broader than user intent. Execution is not valid merely because it is possible. Treating authorization as a check at the end of a transaction is a mistake. Authorization is not downstream of execution. Execution is downstream of authorization.

Earlier today, a user attempted to buy AAVE using $50M USDT through the Aave interface. Given the unusually large size of the single order, the Aave interface, like most trading interfaces, warned the user about extraordinary slippage and required confirmation via a checkbox. The user confirmed the warning on their mobile device and proceeded with the swap, accepting the high slippage, which ultimately resulted in receiving only 324 AAVE in return. The transaction could not be moved forward without the user explicitly accepting the risk through the confirmation checkbox. The CoW Swap routers functioned as intended, and the integration followed standard industry practices. However, while the user was able to proceed with the swap, the final outcome was clearly far from optimal. Events like this do occur in DeFi, but the scale of this transaction was significantly larger than what is typically seen in the space. We sympathize with the user and will try to make a contact with the user and we will return $600K in fees collected from the transaction. The key takeaway is that while DeFi should remain open and permissionless, allowing users to perform transactions freely, there are additional guardrails the industry can build to better protect users. Our team will be investigating ways to improve these safeguards going forward.

@DistStateAndMe Good reference point. Transparency logs provide verifiable append-only records. Compute Substrate adds deterministic aggregation (proposals + attestations → epoch rankings) under PoW consensus So the network records distributed computation rather than just events

Permissioned pull changes the roles of institutions from custodians to authorized executors Regulators will no longer have to supervise institutions. They will be supervising permission logic

Most systems bundle coordination, computation, execution and authority. But those don’t have to be coupled Authorization Objects separate execution from authority Compute Substrate separates coordination and computation from authority Together they make institutions optional
