@MartinSLewis Good pod. Just a heads up, there’s a bad edit from 24.35, at least a minute of silence and the music stings etc thereafter are all a bit misplaced.

The question about children's savings and investment is both powerful and pertinent. The caller, Patricia sadly lost her husband and so some of his pension money now is paid to their young children. It raises many common questions of those who have money for children.

@MartinSLewis Martin my advice to me on the day I left school would definitely go to that disco at the redundant church in sheep wash lane because you will meet a beautiful young girl who will make you so happy for the rest of your life. Not financial I know but money isn’t everything.

@MartinSLewis I keep a tiny seashell in the coin pouch of my wallet. An eccentric but lovely market trader gave it to me when I bought my cousin a necklace from him, telling me the shell will bring me both good luck and ensure I pull through the bad luck. That was 15 years ago.

@MartinSLewis @ofgem With UK energy costs the highest in the world, its quite clear that the "regulator" isn't "regulating" for the consumer, but for the government. Wouldn't we be better off if the regulator didn't exist?
English

Got questions for Ofgem (or me) on home energy bills?
For my podcast this week energy regulator @ofgem's boss Jonathan Brearley has kindly agreed to come on and take my & your questions. To suggest one for me or him, please post them by reply, and producer Matt will collate...

@MartinSLewis If I order something at a kiosk in a shop and then it’s brought out to me (Argos as an example) do the rules of online order apply (14 days to advise a return then a further 14 days to return) or does it count as an in store purchase and can only return if it’s faulty?

@MartinSLewis I am looking to buy my first flat. The lease on a property I like has 78 years remaining. With the new changes/law coming to leasehold property soon, is it worth the risk of waiting a couple of years and looking to extend the lease then or push ahead and look to extend now?

@MartinSLewis How Martin. My question is how can my house insurance increase more than 2X from what it was last year. My wife and I purchased the home last year as first time buyers. No claims or even contact with the company all year. Based in Fermanagh, North of Ireland.

@mattdb97 @MartinSLewis Hi Matt, apologies, I have not long seen this message. Our concern is our three daughters, two at uni at minute, will possibly be coming out of higher education with student loans over £120,000 and the interest being applied to the loans is frightening.

Got questions on the grown-up stuff... WILLS AND POWER OF ATTORNEY? Peace of mind planning is the core topic of my podcast this week - I'll be joined by legal specialists to help answer.
Do suggest your questions by reply & say which UK nation you're in, as the law changes with that. Producer Matt will compile.
