@tomm7y @ArrakisFinance Great write up by the Arrakis team!
I am curious if the findings are mostly because non KYC retail only has access to limited defi liquidity and institutions have gated access to mint/ redeem flows, enabling them to move more significantly in size?

banger article by @ArrakisFinance on who actually buys RWAs
retail = most of the wallets, ~none of the capital (≥$1M cheques are 4% of buyers but 93% of the money). and it's all crypto-native, zero TradFi
imo the move is to build for crypto-natives first, while bringing the TradFi narratives (options, fixed income, structured credit) onchain through RWAs

@matteodotsui @phantom @monad Infrastructure is expensive. I think people genuinely underestimate how much it costs to secure, build, and maintain major partnerships and integrations.

@martypartymusic @circle This doesn’t really make too much sense. Even an L1 can be exploited…
English

Now do you understand why I keep telling you L2 sequencers are the biggest risk in crypto. Base, Robinhood, Hyperliquid all at risk.
@circle should not issue USDC on anything but a sufficiently decentralized L1.
L1 or nothing.
MartyParty@martypartymusic
⚠️ @blockaid_ EXPLOIT DETECTION SYSTEM HAS IDENTIFIED A USDC BRIDGE POSSIBLE EXPLOIT ON @arbitrum @peckshield : We detected an abnormal bridge withdrawal that extracted ~$24.15M USDC from an Arbitrum USDC custody bridge contract. The on-chain bridge logic was not bypassed; the malicious withdrawal was authorized by a quorum of hot-validator signatures and then finalized after the dispute period.

Bad take. Vaults are simply infrastructure for packaging and distributing onchain financial products.
Those products will have varying risk profiles, and many will not be worth the risk/return. But that does not justify an indictment of the category.
The truth is that without vaults, DeFi cannot succeed. Expecting normal people to directly interface with raw onchain markets is a total pipe dream
David Hoffman@TrustlessState
I'm no expert, but vaults don't seem like a good idea. I'm sure some are safe, but the composability and inevitable permutations seems like a faustian bargain where the margins constantly get exploited
