Bank Holiday Monday can be a good opportunity to pause, reflect, and think about where our profession is heading. In just a couple of weeks, the MACP Study Day 2026 will bring together clinicians from across the MSK community to explore exactly that — with conversations around complexity, innovation, leadership, inclusion, AI, sustainability, advanced rehabilitation, and the future direction of physiotherapy practice. At a time when MSK services continue to evolve rapidly, opportunities to step outside the day-to-day clinical pace and engage in thoughtful professional discussion feel more important than ever. There are still some final places available, including heavily reduced student tickets as part of MACP’s commitment to supporting the next generation of MSK clinicians. Looking forward to what promises to be an excellent day of challenge, reflection, and shared learning. #MACP #MSK #Leadership #Innovation #ProfessionalDevelopment

Really looking forward to hearing Vasileios (Vas) Georgopoulos @vasilis_georgop speak at the upcoming MACP Study Day 2026. His presentation — “Exploring the delivery of MSK treatment to unique, under-represented, and under-served populations” — tackles one of the most important conversations currently facing modern MSK practice. As physiotherapy continues to evolve, questions around equity of access, inclusivity, cultural awareness, and how we better reach underserved communities are becoming central to delivering high-quality patient care. This is exactly the kind of contemporary, thought-provoking discussion MACP is passionate about supporting. With only a couple of weeks to go, there are still limited places available — including heavily reduced student tickets as part of MACP’s commitment to supporting the next generation of clinicians. Looking forward to a fantastic day of discussion, challenge, and shared learning. #MACP #Physiotherapy #MSK #HealthEquity #Inclusion #ClinicalReasoning #StudentPhysio #ProfessionalDevelopment

Following two excellent recent webinars, we’re now just a couple of weeks away from the upcoming MACP Study Day 2026. The recent sessions have highlighted exactly what MACP stands for — clinical curiosity, advanced clinical reasoning, reflective discussion, and a commitment to advancing MSK practice together. If you’ve been considering attending, there are still some last-minute places available. As part of MACP’s ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation of MSK clinicians, we’ve worked hard to keep student pricing as accessible as possible: • £50 MACP members • £75 non-members • £37.50 students For students and early-career clinicians, this is a fantastic opportunity to access expert speakers, contemporary MSK discussion, networking, and 7 hours of CPD at a genuinely affordable price point. We’re looking forward to welcoming all colleagues from across the MSK community for what promises to be a fantastic day. #MACP #Physiotherapy #MSK #StudentPhysio #ClinicalReasoning #ProfessionalDevelopment

What responsibility does MSK practice have in a changing world? As part of this year’s MACP Study Day, we are pleased to include a session from the Environmental Physio Special Interest Group. The theme for the day is: MSK Practice at a Crossroads Complexity, Innovation & Leadership That crossroads is not only clinical. It is also professional, social and environmental. As physiotherapists, we are increasingly being asked to think about the wider impact of healthcare: how services are designed, how care is delivered, how we reduce waste, how we support sustainable practice, and how we contribute to healthier people and healthier systems. This session will bring an important perspective into the day and broaden the conversation around what MSK practice needs to become. MACP Study Day 2026 Saturday 6th June Birmingham £50 MACP members £75 non-members A full day of MSK learning, challenge and professional reflection at excellent value. What does consultant-level practice look like in MSK — and how do we evidence, develop and recognise it? At this year’s MACP Study Day, we will be exploring: Consultant capability & micro-credentials This panel discussion brings together: Tim Noblet Alexander McCall Sam Simmonds Neil Langridge Matt Low Jackie Walumbe As MSK roles continue to evolve, there are important questions for the profession: How do we define consultant capability? What does progression beyond advanced practice look like? How can clinicians evidence their development? What role might micro-credentials play? How do we maintain professional standards while supporting flexible career development? This session will be particularly relevant for clinicians working in, aspiring to, or supporting advanced and consultant-level MSK practice.
