Today has been one of the more surreal days of my life. Very proud and excited to announce the majority acquisition of @UKPlatformMedia in an eight-figure deal that will be the biggest in the history of the UK podcast market by the time it completes in full.

Had something like 5-6 years worth of free updates since purchase now; it's among the first 5 things I'd install if I got a new Mac

I think the most amazing thing about Pixelmator Pro is that they are able to put vector editing, image editing, painting, video, PDF, templates, and more all into one app while still having a fantastic and intuitive interface. It never feels bloated, confusing, or overwhelming.

I find these over-produced cutesy bits in the Apple announcement off-putting. I understand why they did it during Covid, but in 2023 they read as insincere and vaguely dystopian.

@ReubenPinder All 3 siblings coming out with a deal better than than they could have dreamed while all being crestfallen and defeated in their own ways is magic. Feels like you’re being shown a microcosm example of what failing upwards really looks like as much as anything else.

@ReubenPinder So much of it is wrapped up in commentary on the world at large that plot mechanics and points made are as interesting to discuss as the character arcs. Your mileage may vary on if that’s good or not, I guess.

I love Succession, and that was a really good episode, Roman's emotional acting is particularly brilliant. I am starting not to care about whether this deal happens or not though. Suppose that's just a vehicle for the power see-saw and the snakery that goes with it.
