@wingod I work in nuclear facility design. We absolutely consider aircraft impact for everything. And like someone else said, 99% of the population would fly into a cooling tower and not the actual reactor or fuel storage lol

Very few people remember that in 1976 an airplane in the USA was highjacked and landed in Knoxville Tennessee. The Hijacker threatened to take off and crash into a TVA nuclear power plant. My brother in law was pretty high up the food chain in the TVA nuclear program and basically said that it would easily survive that incident with no problems and indeed TVA used the jetliner crash as one of their design problems in building the plants, and they are specifically designed to survive such an impact.

@Bitcoin_Teddy Wind and solar are effectively useless. They generate negligible power compared to true power plants and need massive amounts of land to get anywhere near comparable numbers which drives the cost up. They are also cheap per unit yet once you get to the 1,000s of acres they are $$

@Ole_Memes @ZBostrand8 I think they just have it if the school provides it. I believe Tennessee has had it for a few years for home games but not most road games. I don’t think ESPN is working on adding it sadly, I bet Ole Miss is just providing it now

ESPN is included in all basic cable packages so F1 is accessible to pretty much the entire US. Now there will be minimal exposure bc of $$

@SulloReport I mean it makes sense. Teams effectively have no “local” fanbase the way other sports do outside of Ferrari. Also a driver being 50% of the team makes it way easier to know and get a feel for all drivers. A soccer player is like 5% of a team. Much more media time for a driver.
