@samhogan @samhogan is this for tokens your app uses, or tokens your engineers use? Are these for coding faster, or for offering a better product to your customers?

Nothing we say is accurate because words aren't an accurate representation of anything, but they can be beautiful.

You know you’re energized by something when you do it with a sense of urgency. No sense of urgency likely means the task isn’t meaningful to you.

@EricWollberg this is precisely what they build. shifting focus to overindulgence on hedonistic pleasures from advancing civilization is what causes their downfall. that being said, this is still extremely cool.

I agree 💯. Governments play a critical role in regulating both consumers and companies to prevent actions that are detrimental to the collective good. 'Effective' governance serves as a guiding force, much like responsible parents guiding their children toward better outcomes. This is key, given that consumers often lack awareness. Your cigarette example is a spot-on illustration of this issue.

@mavericreal Govts here have a responsibility to overrule (minimally inform) the short term wants of the consumer < longer term needs of society. Agree business will always follow our $$s, but consumers and business are only two ingredients in this cocktail.

Who shapes the market? Entrepreneurs or consumers? 💰🤑💸 Entrepreneurs are frequently seen as the puppet masters, creating demand for their products or services. But to put it plainly, entrepreneurs can only create a solution for a problem that someone is willing to pay for. Take @CocaCola as an example. The company didn't invent the craving for sugary drinks; it simply capitalized on existing consumer demand. People LOVE sugar! If most people hated sugary drinks, Coca-Cola wouldn't be around. Are consumers victims? 🩸 In my opinion, consumers have more influence than they might think. If people demand healthy drinks, entrepreneurs will build the infrastructure to provide them. If there is demand for unhealthy drinks, that's what will be supplied. Personally, I heavily dislike alcohol and wish bars and restaurants offered healthy drinks. Do I blame @abinbev for an unhealthy market of drinks? Nope! They would not exist if people didn’t buy their products. As an entrepreneur, I've tasted both victory and defeat. My failures have often been the result of not keeping customer needs front and center despite noble intentions to create a positive change in the world. So, who really shapes the market ❤️‍🔥 IMO the consumers have the power to steer the market toward sustainability, ethical labor practices, and more. If you want carbon-neutral products or responsible media, demand them. Your choices have a ripple effect on what entrepreneurs can and will create, as long as there is a critical mass of consumers. That's the Achilles' heel for consumers when it comes to steering the market. They need to act in unison and establish a critical mass; otherwise, entrepreneurs find no incentive to address their needs. This is both a pledge and a call to action. Set principles to guide your consumption. Your consumer choices matter, so make them count. By demanding better products, you empower entrepreneurs to create solutions that meet those needs. 🔥 What do you think?
