A Somalian suicide bomber brought explosives onto a commercial flight with the intent of blowing up the plane. 20 minutes after takeoff, the explosives detonated & blasted a hole in the side of the plane. The bomber was instantly sucked out & ended up being the only fatality.

This morning I took #TheCoffeeStruggle to our grassroots audience. Thank you @bbstvug & @cbsfm_ug for letting us make the point that the only beneficial value addition intervention is one that improves the yield and quality of the farmer’s coffee. It is the surest way not just to increase the farmer’s earnings but also deliver it to his pockets. Ultimately this expands the tax base. What needs to be done is help with irrigation, fertilizer, extension services, planting materials, fight counterfeit inputs & access to patient capital. It will also help to avoid policy chaos & confusion. On a lighter note, it is always fun to hang out with @PatrickSembajjo @AbbyNkaaga @HKawenja they are a crazy lot
