@johngibbonsblog Yeh those bastards who don't want to see horses whipped to death for the entertainment of the masses. What a bunch of c*nts. I'm all for horse racing to continue, but there needs to be serious regulations/safeguards to better protect the animals.

@wineexpert1968 @jamesaknight I am maximus went through a few fences of the national so some would’ve said he should’ve been pulled up, think it’s very hard to judge unless your riding, Paul might’ve got the judgement wrong on gold dancer but it’s a very very rare occasion clearly.

@jamesaknight I think if a horse makes a significant error like that, it should be immediately pulled up.

Good interview and interesting answer from Paul Townend re Gold Dancer. I’d believe him that the horse felt ok after the last, but it really was obvious to the viewer that he wasn’t. Does make you wonder whether there needs to be stricter rules re when a jockey should be obliged to pull a horse up. V tough area to regulate tho…

@HarrieSilver This is obviously not nice but don’t forget the hundreds and thousands of horses who live better lives than us humans because of horse racing too.

Hate to be that person but how is horse racing still allowed to continue - makes me so sad every time I see it, animals in so much pain. I understand there are service animals that suffer in other countries/places but all this because people want to pay into it? It’s so sad (Yes it may be very hypocritical of me because I’m not a vegetarian and still eat meat but surely we should reduce animals needlessly suffering wherever we can? Even starting small)

Good performance and result for PSG. But oh my - Liverpool have been lucky. That shove was 100% a penalty. Ref has had an absolute stinker there. Should’ve been 3-0 at a minimum. Massive result for Atletico Madrid against Barcelona too. 2-0 is a massive result away for them.

Might be the first year I’ve gone into Aintree Festival with hardly anything antepost 🌲🤷‍♂️ Just didn’t see the usual value early on, markets felt tight and a lot more guesswork than edge this time around 📉 Only play so far: Madara in the Topham. Took 6s, now into 9/2 for a bag of sand back 💰 Tough race to win, but thought the price was worth taking at the time 👍 Who’s everyone on antepost this year?
