@AdamSinger Europeans have no idea, and they are proud of how ignorant they are. They make a point to make every decision they can to make their life worse and think they are living the greatest life. AC, dishwasher, a proper laundry and drier are unthinkable in Europe.

The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States for the seventh time won the war that wasn’t a war, so the United States can open the Strait of Hormuz that was open before the not war. The not war that started to get the uranium that was completely obliterated, so that the Iranians can’t build the nuclear bomb that they weren’t building for the not war that the United States started. Then the United States which has nuclear weapons threatening to use nuclear weapons to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons because having nuclear weapons is dangerous. If the United States saw what the United States is doing in the United States, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

🚨 ITALIAN PM MELONI JUST ASKED TRUMP NOT TO REMOVE TROOPS Fearing Trump will remove American servicemembers from Italy ON TOP of Germany — and maybe Spain — Giorgia Meloni says she wouldn't "support" the move "It is clearly a decision that does not depend on me and one that I personally would not support." "But there is one thing I would like to make clear, Italy has always honored its commitments." Trump is NOT happy with countries who didn't help America against Iran.

Note the underlying stupidity behind these threats. US bases and troops around the world are there for US global force projection, not to protect Spain or Italy or whatever he thinks. America’s enemies would love it if he picked up his toys and went home.
The Bulwark@BulwarkOnline

Q: "You talked about possibly pulling out some troops of Germany. Would you be considering the same thing for Spain and Italy?" Trump: "I probably will…Italy has not been of any help to us and Spain has been horrible."

@Rothmus US involvement in the buildup to the Ukraine war is quite conspicuous and resulted in the cutoff of cheap Russian gas for Europe (for expensive US LPG). Iran war now closed Hormuz and cut off reasonable alternatives + oil and fuel cutoff. It almost looks like US wants this.

I have great respect for the German people, but their government’s policies are increasingly problematic. I understand Germany faces serious economic challenges and lacks a clear path out of them. But their repeated efforts to shift costs onto American taxpayers are unsustainable, whether through chronic under-spending on NATO or by keeping pharmaceutical prices artificially low and effectively subsidized by the US. At some point, Germany (and Europe more broadly) will have to pay up. American taxpayers and patients effectively subsidize pharma innovation for the entire world. And while Germany and other nations enjoy artificially low prices, Americans bear the highest costs by far. Instead, the chancellor chose to publicly criticize the United States even amid delicate ceasefires and ongoing negotiations with Iran. Now President Trump is threatening to limit America’s defense commitment to Germany. It’s unfortunately hard to see this ending well for anyone involved.

>America funds the world’s pharmaceutical innovation >Europe forces drug companies to slash prices >pharma raises prices on Americans to cover the losses Same medicine. Often 3x more expensive in the US than in Europe. Europe still refuses to pay fair prices, effectively making Americans subsidize their healthcare. Only U.S. companies are truly funding new drug development. Europe free-rides. Solution: Section 301. The USTR would investigate and respond to these unfair foreign practices hurting American patients and innovation.

Days after Trump’s call with Putin, the Pentagon announced Friday it is pulling 5,000 troops from Germany. Reuters describes the move as a pointed rebuke of one of America’s closest NATO allies, as the rift between Washington and Europe over the Iran war deepens. Trump threatened the drawdown after a public spat with Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who said the Iranians had humiliated the United States in ceasefire talks.

🇺🇸🔥🇪🇺 - Trump: ¿Por qué no debería?

BREAKING: President Trump says he'll consider pulling U.S. troops out of Italy and Spain after hinting he may do so with Germany. "Why shouldn't I? Italy has not been of any help to us and Spain has been horrible." "When we needed them, they were not there." "We didn't need any help with Iran... I didn't need their help, but I said, yeah, we'd love to have your help because I wanted to see if they'd do it. And in all cases, they said we don't want to get involved."

Switzerland is putting solar panels on all the empty space between train tracks. If done in the UK this would take 20,000,000 Solar Panels and would provide 8GW of electricity.

Why is it that the Socialists are all for the energy transition, when it creates energy poverty and penalises those who cannot afford solar and batteries. It basically makes the poor poorer as they bear the increased energy costs. Yet the Conservatives want to retain cheap power for all, and have centralised power generation to reduce energy poverty. It is indeed a strange world we live in.

This is another example of why walking across an entire city, or a region passing through cities, gives you a better understanding of a place. When you walk across Milan, or from Dusseldorf to Bonn, you see that Europe isn't nearly as economically wealthy as the US. If you stick to tourist centers -- London, Paris, Milan -- you only see the wealthiest, and not the often dreary suburban apartment block bleah where most people live

@Tuingevoelnl @PsyGuy007 Actually not. People who condemn renewables and “green tech” totally ignore some pretty ugly truths about how fossil fuels and the industry around it actually work. Things can and have to be done better in green energy as it risks to be “just another industry wrecking nature”.
