They’re saying if you hire a good coach, money comes in. literally what happened with Sanders at Colorado. But sure keep making excuses for bad teams while we fade into irrelevance. It’s the only thing you type of fans are consistent at.
LucasCoug@LucasCoug

@ImUrPirate @Coug_206 @Jon_Haarlow I’ve heard so many times “if xx program or yy coach starts to win the money will roll in” it’s such an empty promise and sad excuse. It’s the only thing our fans are consistent at.

@zacyourback @cougsgo I think you’re right Zac. Hole is so deep here. I also really liked the identity of his EWU teams. Got guys that could ball. Upset mindset. Give him a year of roster retention/building and see what that looks like.

LeJuan Watts was around $2.5 million in NIL with incentives to TTU. Glass is a certified superstar. I don't think a million will do... Thankfully you got a coach who recruited that guy to WSU, who recruit Nate Calmese, Who identified Cedrice Coward.. Who has developed ND into another stud, he is prlly in the $1million range now as a big. Riley has already identified his next gem. Brayden Kyman is a legit superstar NBA future big timer. Maybe the most potential out of any first year player we've had. Too early Too early.

Coug basketball fans…Would you rather buy out David Riley’s contract for $1 million and lose Ace Glass OR give Ace the $1 million to stay and keep Riley as the coach? #GoCougs

How the hell do we fix the state of cougar basketball? Not going to be fun when we have to play USU, SDSU, Gonzaga regularly in a real conference ☠️

@financedystop Obviously tax policy but also: Not as much infrastructure to support. Compare population #s, total miles of road, ferries, trains, airports, schools,

@ImmaculateView Must be complete smoke from interwebs. I think I remember sometime last summer when Big 12 declined like $200 million in sponsorship money to admit Memphis. Someone here is telling stories.

Did I really just see a suggestion that the Big 12 is looking at NDSU and Sac State for membership? Over the likes of USF because USF isn't sexy enough? Brand new stadium? Brian Hartline as Head Coach? I have no problem with trying to think outside of the box and I have talked a lot about Sacramento State and NDSU deserving a chance to move up in order to prove themselves. Going from FCS to the Big 12 though is just way too much of a jump. You have to see how these programs fare playing entire seasons in the FBS first. The likes of USF and Tulane are actually proven and there is no G Conference member that is more "sexy" for a realignment shot to the A4 than USF is. When you talk ability to compete, when you talk institutional investment in facilities, when you talk NIL investment. USF is at the top of the G ranks. I absolutely love that NDSU and Sac State are getting so much attention right now. That is great. Let's be reasonable though. Let's not turn a great moment for those fanbases into unreal expectations that inevitably frustrate in a way that is just unnecessary. I do think Sac State will get their shot and if I had to bet right now, I think I would bet on CUSA but I do still think there should be longshot odds on the PAC. We just got an announcement for a football only addition for the MWC next season. Why not one for the PAC?

@potatosystem1 This success story was possible with the new potato variety Cooperation 88. It was not only delicious to eat but was ideal of processing in chips and fries. This started about 20 years ago!

@gocougs123 The PAC 12 giving you a mulligan for 100 years when in reality you should have been in FCS is funny as hell. If not for Oregon and Washington the two State Schools both belonged in FCS and they still do.

@OS_Beaver Absolutely not. Tons of respect for NDSU but this only dilutes payout. Was hoping for New Mexico over Texas State but I get it.

Gould should go ahead and add NDSU to the Pac-12. Right team at right time to be #9 and have ideal football scheduling. Is a strong weekly matchup for all teams for TV. Is a genius move as also gives you an option on SDSU in 2 or 3 years. It keeps a wide moat between Pac and MWC.

Dearest Mother, Tonight I write by lantern light, boots still stained from the march. The battle has called my name. I have been entrusted with command of Washington State Football — a regiment battered, but unbroken. The men are ready. The flag still flies. We will drill with discipline. We will defend the Palouse like sacred ground. Every Saturday will be a charge, every snap a stand, every fourth quarter a test of will. Tell the folks in Prosser this isn’t surrender — it’s a turning point. History remembers those who answered when the drums sounded. We will need their support both as observers of the battle and for rations to The Collective. I march forward as Head Coach. For honor. For state. For the Crimson and Gray. — Kirby #GoCougs #AnswerTheCall #CrimsonAndGray #Prosser

More unsolicited advice for early career researchers: 8. Just do it! Just keep moving, keep taking initiative, and good things will follow. It’s the only sensible way to spend our limited time on this planet and value life. Nothing great ever came from sitting on the sidelines—you don’t score goals by watching the match (apologies for the football metaphor). Get on the pitch and make things happen. kamounlab.medium.com/7-random-unsol…
