I’m extremely honored to be nominated by President Trump to serve as Director of the National Science Foundation.   Heroic scientists have always challenged consensus to advance the frontiers of knowledge. Recently, many institutions have weakened academic freedom and lost the trust they once enjoyed. Yet across our country, a new golden age of discovery is dawning. Information is open source and debate is public.   The marketplace of ideas is not an efficient market. Finding and funding independent thinkers and builders has taught me to eliminate bottlenecks and favor rigorous science that replicates.  Private funders are developing frontier models and useful technology. Government should take bigger financial risks to pose and answer deeper questions.   NSF’s scientists and staff have built something worth strengthening. Working together, scientists, engineers, investors, research institutions, and businesses can support American genius, enhance national security, enrich our economy, and improve our quality of life.   Entropy is on the march and China is not waiting.

Honestly, I'm not sure you really want a lawyer as a cofounder. A friend went to law school for the hell of it a few years ago however didn't get his law license. Now, he struggles to put his work out because he sees all risks associated with poor security, monetary transactions and legal compliance. Either find someone like this who is flexible enough to handle the stress of every potential problem, or find a good outside legal advisor and become a client.

How do you find a lawyer cofounder? Plenty of soft devs and mba idea guys who always want to be cofounders. Lawyers I spoke said they legally cannot be a cofounder to not have issues at their law firms, or make their legal advice loose insurance. Only advisors for options etc.

@anjulipie I want to sue bunch of big medical and genomic groups for breaking HIPAA. I need VC money, or a really good lawyer as a cofounder. Winning a single case would allow me to bring GDPR to States as its main enforcer. Open to alternatives but struggling to do it on my own.

To, co my nazywamy sukcesem, oni diagnozują jako szczęśliwy brak postępu w procesie społecznej dekompozycji. Zachód kocha Polskę tak, jak zgorzkniały, schorowany milioner kocha swojego ubogiego, ale zdrowego kuzyna ze wsi – z mieszanką zazdrości i politowania. Zazdroszczą nam tego, że wciąż jesteśmy na etapie, w którym praca ma sens, ulice są dla pieszych, a nie dla barykad, i gdzie pojęcia społeczne wciąż mają swoje słownikowe definicje. Jesteśmy dla nich rezerwatem lat 90., miejscem, gdzie wciąż działa stary, dobry system operacyjny cywilizacji europejskiej, który u nich zawiesił się po zainstalowaniu zbyt wielu wirusowych aktualizacji. Najbardziej groteskowe w tym wszystkim jest nasze narodowe pęcznienie z dumy. Łakniemy tego poklepywania po plecach jak tlenu, udostępniając miliony razy filmy zachodnich youtuberów, którzy "są w szoku, że w Polsce jest bezpiecznie". Nie rozumiemy, że ten szok jest aktem oskarżenia wobec ich własnych krajów, a nie dowodem naszej wielkości. Nasz sukces to sukces archeologiczny – udało nam się zachować tkankę społeczną nie dzięki geniuszowi strategii, ale dzięki temu, że byliśmy zbyt biedni i zbyt zajęci dorabianiem się, by pozwolić sobie na luksus popełniania ich samobójczych błędów kulturowych.

@kabrutusdeid I was recently trying to find where Troika Games people went, found Obsidian. @OuterWorlds trailer has elements in which I can sense soul and good jokes, but it also has this dull Comic Sans aesthetic, so I didn't buy. It felt castrated, now I know why.

@VtM_Bloodlines I would pay 5x or 10x for a game like Arcanum or VtM 1. I would also be willing to do SaaS subscription if new content of high quality would be comic. Or if you create a closed "apple-style" ecosystem of DLCs "apps" you approve with some taste. I am willing for anything atm

I bought @VtM_Bloodlines in 2019. It was released yesterday, played 3h. Just got a refund. I stopped playing games, partly cause of time, but mainly, because I cannot find any good ones. :/ Please, someone, fix the GameDev industry economics. It's bigger then movie industry. Please anyone!

@ShitpostRock I've waited for this game probably around 15 years. I would like to hate the studio, but I don't. I also had my own attempts in GameDev, with big publishers. I think this game is just a final straw for me. We need new economics in GameDev. Games are getting shitter every year
