@cmkusher Ask for an estimated rental income/compare other rental incomes in the area, multiply that by 1000. That is your baseline, in a sellers market it will be slightly higher in a buyers market slightly lower. Right now its a buyers market. Good example here: realestate.com.au/property/5-sel…

My real estate followers will probably disagree but buying a home is the biggest purchase most people will ever make, not even providing a price guide for people doing that is such reckless behaviour IMO. Vic has it right with the compulsory SOI.
