@LavenderGhast If they do something like that then I'd like soldier boy to be in a fight between himself and what his father/vought wants him to be. When he's himself the team loves him but when he tries to be what vought wants it just ruins their relationship until it breaks him.

I think I'd be more interested in a Boys prequel if they made it so the heroes were actually good people who started out with the best intentions and it was that era's boys that were actually the villains. Through their distrust and suspicions about them, they would attempt to constantly harass, frame and destroy them. That mixed with the pressures of new celebrity causing them to snap in their own ways and become the terrible people they think they are. We already did the shiny surface level is just a smokescreen for them being terrible people, so why not flip it and make it a commentary about prejudices, expectations and pressures to live up to impossible standards whilst being sabotaged at every turn by people who just want to prove how terrible you really are. Ironically ending up making the monsters they wanted to fight.
