@evowizz I don't use WhatsApp so I don't know. I share my number with people I actually talk to and use IG/Snap for other people. I don't see the point in unifying this into one app

@maxmistaken You're proving my point. For Google Messages and RCS to be relevant, they *have* to support usernames.

Google needs to push for username support in the RCS protocol for Google Messages & RCS to be adopted by people, at least in Europe. Heck, even WhatsApp is starting to rollout usernames to beta users. Until then, there's no advantage in using RCS/Google Messages at all when all competitors have a way to keep phone numbers private. Hopefully they'll "get the message" 🤔

@luciascarlet @soywig It just looks so unbalanced. Pre Big Sur was better when the title bar was over the toolbar

@soywig @maxmistaken it is but you rarely see it like this because most apps will use the fatter unified toolbars it’s that way because the title bar text was on the left with unified toolbars since Big Sur but on the centre with small title bars so it was just changed to be consistent

Lotta Apple fans are pissed at this change, but I think the reasoning is pretty simple: Spotify uses an extremely recognizable vibrant shade of green for their logo and branding and the way Icon Composer applies Liquid Glass to icons is sorta ugly and muddies the color
