Burnham comes across as superficial & fake. My left leaning mum really hates him for some reason. I personally think Labour is doomed regardless. Like how Kemi is struggling to save the Tories it doesn’t matter how charismatic or talented the leader is when the brand is damaged.

Burnham is popular as he's basically without ideological baggage - he'll say anything to get into Number 10 - that means all sides can pin their hopes on him - however it also means that should he win the coalition will likely quickly fracture - this is especially true as he will also have the same constraints as Starmer - those being a bonkers party which wants policies that the bond market will no longer accept

@HowlingClouston Try and make a deal with Farage that lets you stand as sdp / reform like labour do with the co op party. The whole of reforms messaging sounds like Patrick Oflynn wrote it anyway and they are desperate for people to stand and to shake the Tory lite tag
