The bank scene in SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION was staged so Andy is “walking out” the warden’s identity in each shot. They used a real bank in Ohio and Frank Darabont said the costume, posture, and how Andy signs the forms were directed to feel like freedom. x.com/TheMonologist/…

#Arsenal haven't won a title in 22 years. Since then, we were derided for our beautiful football, with the Gary Nevilles of the world describing us as weak, spineless, naive and arrogant, and using phrases like 'men against boys', 'messed around' and 'over emotional'. We've now found a way to get over the line. Many of our marginal wins would have led to dropped points in previous seasons, but we we have found solutions such as set pieces and defensive disciple that kick in when our technical level drops, and that's why we're seven points clear. Winning duels, making recoveries and keeping your shape is a boring cliche, but they are the basics that every title winning team has had. It may not always be enjoyable to watch, but ask yourself, would you prefer a scrappy 1-1 or a 2-1 defeat on the days it's not going right, or would you prefer the team to grind out a win? We had the days of feeling robbed because our football didn't lead to the results we felt we deserved. This team has both. Players like Rice, Gabriel, Hincapie, Timber and Saliba allow us to play suffer ball when needed, and force the opposition to play in the areas we want to reduce their threat, but they can also mix it with the best ball players and slap teams like Tottenham and Villa 4-1 and Leeds 5-0 and 4-0. The Invincibles learnt this too. They outplayed everyone in 02/03 and fell short. In 03/04 they returned with a ruthless desire to get over the line, and it led to a title with plenty of 1-0 wins. We forget what it takes to get to the top, especially when it has been such a long climb, but this team is doing it. Criticise Mikel Arteta all you want, but look at where he has got us. Look at the standards we hold the team to. Look at how many clubs are trying to replicate what we're doing. This is a glorious position to be in. Now, buckle up, and get behind this team. We've got a title to win.

#ARSCHE My extremely unbiased, completely rational two cents… Declan could have had a pen for the hold and the handball. Not so much the holding because apparently every corner is now a Royal Rumble and the ref’s just there for vibes but that arm did go up like he was hailing an Uber. Naturally, VAR did what VAR does best: exist expensively. That said, it didn’t cost Chelsea because the very next corner went in. So technically the football gods fixed that. See! The Arsenal even score set pieces for you! Fofana’s handball in the earlier game? Also not given. See below ⬇️ Both were pens imo The officiating continues its proud tradition of interpretive refereeing. Game got nervy once Chelsea went down to 10. I thought we’d suffocate them. Instead, fair play, they turned into caffeinated honey badgers. Apparently they completed twice as many passes after the red card. Bold strategy, play better with fewer players. Still… we own you in the post-Roman era 🤷🏼‍♂️ First half we were cooking. Could’ve been 2-3 up easy. But in the final third? Pass selection looked like someone hit “random” on FIFA. Nothing sticking. Gyökeres had a meh game And of course I brought him into my FPL. Because I enjoy self-inflicted trauma. Chelsea and red cards though? 🤔 Neto fouling Martinelli that far from goal is bizarre. 9 reds this season? That’s not a stat, that’s a lifestyle. When did Neto get his 1st yellow? Missed that completely. Seems so did Pedro Raya? Unreal. Man was basically a Spanish brick wall with gloves. What. A. Keeper. Nørgaard needs more minutes. Declan may have a nuclear engine, but even nuclear reactors need shielding. Wrap him in bubble wrap till (I’m manifesting now) the Champions League semis/final. 😉 Please let that knock be minor. I miss Merino. The midfield needs his calm, grown-up energy when things get chaotic. And Eze as a 9? Not for me. Pls have him wide left when Martin’s back. Too many errant passes. Sometimes he strolls like he’s window shopping. I prefer the electron-level hustle Ødegaard brings, constant movement, chaos in tight spaces, pure leadership. Always looks like he wants the ball Anyway. Three points. Mild cardiac event at the end. Standard Gooner experience. Onward. 🔴⚪

The math on this project should mass-humble every AI lab on the planet. 1 cubic millimeter. One-millionth of a human brain. Harvard and Google spent 10 years mapping it. The imaging alone took 326 days. They sliced the tissue into 5,000 wafers each 30 nanometers thick, ran them through a $6 million electron microscope, then needed Google’s ML models to stitch the 3D reconstruction because no human team could process the output. The result: 57,000 cells, 150 million synapses, 230 millimeters of blood vessels, compressed into 1.4 petabytes of raw data. For context, 1.4 petabytes is roughly 1.4 million gigabytes. From a speck smaller than a grain of rice. Now scale that. The full human brain is one million times larger. Mapping the whole thing at this resolution would produce approximately 1.4 zettabytes of data. That’s roughly equal to all the data generated on Earth in a single year. The storage alone would cost an estimated $50 billion and require a 140-acre data center, which would make it the largest on the planet. And they found things textbooks don’t contain. One neuron had over 5,000 connection points. Some axons had coiled themselves into tight whorls for completely unknown reasons. Pairs of cell clusters grew in mirror images of each other. Jeff Lichtman, the Harvard lead, said there’s “a chasm between what we already know and what we need to know.” This is why the next step isn’t a human brain. It’s a mouse hippocampus, 10 cubic millimeters, over the next five years. Because even a mouse brain is 1,000x larger than what they just mapped, and the full mouse connectome is the proof of concept before anyone attempts the human one. We’re building AI systems that loosely mimic neural networks while still unable to fully read the wiring diagram of a single cubic millimeter of the thing we’re trying to imitate. The original is 1.4 petabytes per millionth of its volume. Every AI model on Earth fits in a fraction of that. The brain runs on 20 watts and fits in your skull. The data center required to merely describe one-millionth of it would span 140 acres.
