I know I'm not the only one with this feeling, but the constant rage every time we see our parents or relatives struggling financially after being robbed of their life savings just boils my blood. Some of them aren't lucky enough to find jobs after retirement or to live abroad to secure basic medicine & food. I mean, how do we deal with this anger and unfairness that will probably stay with us for a long time?

Sadly, our cat Alphonse passed away recently. I never thought losing a pet could be so painful. I hope you had a good time with us. You’ll be missed. Rest in peace, champ.

Research Trainee Affairs at Penn Medicine
In honor of AAPI Heritage month, we are highlighting Dr. Harvey Akio Itano. Dr. Itano, who was placed in an internment camp, is most known for identifying the molecular basis of Sickle Cell Anemia and becoming the first Japanese American to become elected to the NAS. #AAPI
