President @edmnangagwa is DECISIVE… He makes the decisions and he doesn’t have to explain to anyone…. Congratulations to those who have been appointed and reassigned…. We thank those who have been removed for their service to the nation.

𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐇𝐔𝐊𝐔'𝐒 𝐄𝐘𝐄: 𝐇𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐄𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 The 21st ZANU PF Annual National People's Conference took place in October 2024 at the ZITF grounds in Bulawayo. One of the major resolutions passed was to extend the President’s term of office from 2028 to 2030. Everyone was there and no objections were raised. Following that, the 22nd ZANU PF National People's Conference convened in Mutare in October 2025, where the same 2030 agenda was unanimously endorsed AGAIN. Second chance, and no objections were raised despite this being a platform meant for democratic dissent. The objective was always to allow for alternative views to be presented, ensuring that the final agreement represented a binding resolution for the entire party. Due to lack of dissent, the decision to draft a Bill in support of this objective became binding for all party members. Had the party acted swiftly after the Bulawayo Conference to kick-start the amendment process, it could have alleviated much of the internal discontent. However, that resolution still stands firm today. It becomes not just problematic but divisive and destabilizing for a whole party when individuals try to mount contests against resolutions which have passed through 2 big conferences. Reports indicate that VP Chiwenga was consistently opposing such party resolutions during Politburo meetings, despite having opportunities to voice any disagreements in Bulawayo and Mutare. This scenario raises concerns about cultivating a culture within the party that allows for open challenges to the leadership of an elected figure. It's a dangerous trend which he wouldn't accept when he assumes office himself. During Mugabe's tenure, there was one center of power, and dissent like we see now would not have been tolerated. Figures like Kasukuwere, Chipanga, and Professor Moyo recognized this and remained loyal until the end. It's commendable how the party is now moving towards eliminating the titles of 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, as they have contributed to toxic succession ambitions. It is evident that some elements within the party are not adhering to the resolutions and instead are pursuing their own factional interests. By rejecting the principle of one center of power, they are undermining party solidarity because the resolution for 2030 is a collective decision of the party, not merely the wish of ED. This blatant disregard for party decisions signals a need for reshuffling within the Politburo and Central Committee. The Conferences revealed that party members feels secure with ED’s leadership, yet it is the ambitious individuals within the PB and CC who need to be addressed as they are nursing factional ideas. After all, it is pointless to remain within a party whose resolutions one holds in disdain. Even those of us outside the party can appreciate the paramount importance of party resolutions, which rightfully supersede personal sentiments or ambitions. The intricate allure of party membership lies in the duality of reaping its rewards when they resonate with one's beliefs, while simultaneously bearing the burden of resolutions in stark contrast to one's convictions. Such is the pragmatic reality of party affiliation; otherwise, one might as well embrace the life of an Independent and revel in unfettered freedom. Nonetheless, a salient issue within ZANU PF today is the presence of individuals who have entered the fold primarily for personal gain, exhibiting a regrettable lack of discipline. To foster true progress, it is prudent to advocate for the elevation of younger individuals who embody authentic party ideals and discipline into positions of influence. Many have been there for years supporting the party from behind.
