Based on new CBO findings the number of uninsured resulting from the Senate bill is nearly 17 million -- more than the 16 million whom CBO found would lose coverage under the House bill. 🧵

Early this morning, the House passed a bill that would ➡️Rip healthcare and food away from millions of people through the largest ever cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, ➡️Add mountains of red tape under the guise of “work requirements” that will interrupt essential services for families

Official CBO analysis confirms the obvious: House Republican tax and budget bill isn't shared sacrifice. It makes poor people poorer and rich people richer. It does this by cutting health care & nutrition to help finance tax cuts skewed to the wealthy.

I believe working families deserve better. No American child should be held back from their full potential because they can’t afford food or healthcare. Medicaid and SNAP saves lives.
