This is the correct U.S. presidential tier ranking for those who know their history and aren’t pro-big government simps.

@BostxnRedSox @BostonMassUSA New England is absolutely in decline thats not even a debate. You guys have your heads up your ass living off relevance from the past. Everywhere outside of Boston metro and Fairfirld County is in obvious economic decline. And culturally the whole region is in decline.

@mc1645 @BostonMassUSA we have a higher gdp per capita, we’re happier and have a much higher quality of life and somehow we’re in decline. I bet squanto and the wampos said the same thing about puritans and i’m sure winthrop and the puritans said the same thing about the irish - but NE forever prospers

@BostxnRedSox @BostonMassUSA My grandpas from Vermont dipshit that’s part of my point, I’m from Georgia and more New England than most of you these days. I’m part mick too I’m just being honest, most people in New England today are LARPing. Your states have been on a steady decline for 60 years.

@mc1645 @BostonMassUSA lmao ur just mad the irish and italians got way richer than you guys while your “blue bloods” are making 50-60k living in no luxury, despite being here 300 years, while my 1840s irish “mick” ancestors sold the horses the union used to cut you rebs down and got rich doing it

@dosbottim @BostonMassUSA Yes they do I’m in CT all the time, even more so online. New England, especially southern New England have quite literally no similarities to what they were in the past. Even northern New England look at Vermont lol.

@AdmiralChickyFA All they did was circle the whitest region of the south. Most of these areas hardly have any blacks anyways. Just anti southern white rhetoric

@prowrstlngstrng @2006Party Not really, historically get worse immigrants from Mexico than we do most of Latin America. The Biden era open border was a bit different though. But historically Argentines, Colombians, Chileans, Costa Ricans etc better. This is because we get the poor uneducated Mexicans.

@AppyOrtho Ya you really only find this in the south, appalachia and upper new england. I see it in my tree cause I have a few regions. GA and KY (appalachia) no immigrants at all. OH has some early 1800s Irish and French. VT half English but that was rare for the area.

I have no ancestors known to me that arrived after 1776 and I’ve done extensive family history (much of which I post on my account). I am not rare, this is normal for Southerners. We are not related to the Ellis Island folks.
Nick Gerteis@nickgerteis

@AppyOrtho So your entire family tree solely traces back to ancestors that were here before 1776? Not just many of them, or most of them—all of them? That is not impossible, but it would be extremely rare and quite frankly unlikely.

@AmiriKing Asians are cool and smart, but Mexicans are already half white. Asians also are obsessed with being better than whites.

Fellow white people. You can split the US population and share it with ONE other race. • Whites will be 50%. • Whoever you choose will be the remaining 50%. Which way, western man?

True Southerners don't eat boiled peanuts. We eat raw peanuts, parched peanuts, roasted and salted peanuts, salty peanuts in our Coca-Cola, but never in a Pepsi. Boiled peanuts were invented by Southerners as a way of selling left over inferior grade peanuts that the hogs won't eat to Yankees.

I’m a Midwesterner who lives in the Deep South. And I do not understand the appeal of boiled peanuts. They are not good.

A 23-year-old couple is on track to retire within 15 years by following the FIRE playbook. They keep expenses extremely low and invest nearly all of their excess income into index funds every month. They’ve already invested $137,000.

Interesting how often you see the South talking about the North in one form or another & practically never see anyone from up here talking about them at all.

Alabama is interesting. The Creek War (1813-1814) had shown the capital of Mississippi Territory near Natchez was too far to meet the local needs of the eastern half which had different folkways - Nickajack (North Alabama) was culturally and politically Tennessean with a core of Georgian elites controlling most land and capital dating to interests from the Yazoo Scandal. And up the Alabama River from Mobile were old French stock, mixed blood Creeks and Anglos with Tory origins. The territory was split with the eastern half, Alabama, aligned with the Blount / Jackson clique centered in Nashville while the west half, Mississippi, was politically threaded into a clique of elites centered on a by now mature patronage system based in Natchez and New Orleans.

@ScottMGreer No it’s still higher than the 50s. Not to mention all the advancements in trauma care. The violent crime rate is double the 50s. But yes lower than the 80s and 90s
