@ryangrim This has always been the rule though. When my wife migrated from Germany she had to wait in Germany for the green card, and wasn't allowed to visit until we had her visa. This literally just is the standard, every immigrant signs a paper that says they'll do this!

This is a radical change to immigration policy, forcing anyone applying for a green card to leave the country indefinitely, forget whether they have American kids, spouse, etc. The talking point that we do want legal immigration, we just want people to get in line and follow the rules, is BS. This is an attempt to blow up the line, blow up the rules, and make it insanely difficult to immigrate legally.

I'm not a fan of the "voting democrat to own the GOP" schtick because Democrats want to exterminate White people and replace them with third worlders. This is particularly important to realize at the federal level. But the uncomfortable truth is that if Texas had been run by a Democrat for the last 10 years, it wouldn't look like Mumbai like it does now. You would have DEI programs and all that bullshit, and you would have institutionalized corruption like in every blue state and crime would have increased. But that outcome is infinitely better than the outcome that comes from electing an indian bought GOP governor like Greg Abbott or Vivek Ramaswamy.
