We’re aware of a video being shared, showing what looks like a burst underneath Sheppey bridge. The Fire Service’s hose has split, causing a fountain of water. We’d like to reassure you this isn’t to do with our network and is not affecting #IsleofSheppey’s return to supply.

We've been made aware that this fake post is being shared on social media. It is NOT an official statement from us and is incorrect. Our plans are progressing well. Only posts on our official channels will provide you with the most up-to-date information.

#IsleofSheppey customers served by #Southdown should see supplies returning from now into the morning. Please turn off all taps to avoid flooding should your supply return overnight. It's normal to see discoloured water after a burst, but for more info: ow.ly/EhjU50JVosZ

The network will take time to refill, so our bottled water sites will be open as follows: 💧 Tesco open until midnight, reopening at 7am 💧 Promenade car park open all night, closing at 7am 💧 Minster Working Man’s Club, Union Rd, Minster-on-Sea, ME122HW, opening at 6am.

We’ve fixed the burst on the #IsleofSheppey and are slowly refilling the network, to protect the water quality. Please check all your taps are off in case your supply returns in the night. Discoloured water is normal after a burst, isn't harmful and usually clears in 24-48hrs.
