37 years ago today, Chris Armstrong signed his first professional contract with Wrexham.
Just 17, he had joined from Llay Welfare, who Wrexham donated £250 to as a form of compensation.
Chris had a fantastic career in the EPL and returned to us again in 2003.

@Millar_Colin Before an international football match, some of the Cardiff City Centre pubs wouldn’t let my son & I in because we had football colours (Wales shirts). The very next day, those same pubs were packed with dressed up rugby fans (daffodil hats too) for the autumn internationals 🤷♂️

Can't imagine any group of people being explicitly banned by a business which wouldn't cause mass condemnation but football fans are fair game and are guilty until proven innocent in the minds of people stuck in a class stereotype that has been outdated in the UK since the 1980s.
