Fantasy armor is fantasy armor. Let’s not forget that armor is layered too, we don’t know th quality of that chainmail or how many layers she has underneath (should have at least 3-4 under the chain alone I’ll take the aesthetic, if it means there’s visual distinction. Not to even broach the topic of a sword vs chainmail…

Without quests? I’ve found myself playing less. I’m not going to PvP, I just stop moving when shot. And I have never shot my weapon at another raider; even if hostile. The threat of PvP is the very reason I’m not continuing to “just play” without a goal Yeah the game wasn’t made for me. I know. Sue me

ARC Raiders is losing steam because the end game lacks depth IMO. Once players have completed the quests, they have a few options. -Prepare for Expedition -Do Trials (which to me feels like busy work & not rewarding) -Mess around and find ways to have fun. There isn’t anything inherently WRONG with just going in and screwing around, but eventually it gets old killing the same ARC, in the same way, over and over. The human to human interaction IS the glue that’s holding the game together for a lot of people. We need some big “Chase Items” in the game with super low drop rates that make people REALLY contemplate whether losing that blueprint on an Expedition is worth it. Current blueprints have mostly been figured out and can be farmed in certain locations with ease, so they’ve become much less exciting to find. We also STILL have some items that are in the game…but no blueprint yet exists. (Silencer 3, Kinetic Converter, etc) We need new ARC to fight that aren’t just reskins of existing ARC. The Shredder was an awesome addition. The comet felt lazy. I know the games only been out going on 5 months, but I really just want to see ARC reach its full potential. We have a new map coming next month, and what looks like a new weapon with the March update. What else should ARC do going forward?

This is why modern Western AAA developers hate Asmongold. In the content creator space, he is a "kingmaker": any game he promotes does well, while any game he clowns on tends to perform terribly. It's striking that every game Asmongold has called out for their bad design has flopped commercially. Either his massive influence as a huge gaming and politics streamer lets him dictate what succeeds or fails, or he simply has a better read on what’s popular with gamers. If that pattern holds, this latest game with the Horizons franchise is going to flop terribly.

Why would I want to give money to a service that actively works against gamers and their freedom to play where they want? And actively litigates their competition because their service is so poor.. Their only recourse is to force them? Why would I want to support a service that has monopolized the game engine market? Resulting in most every game being homogeneous and less performant that it’s main competitor? Why would I want to support a service whose engine is incapable of creating open-world games without constant shader stuttering?
