@23sabres @Sabremetrix I’ve already accepted if they swing a big deal it’ll include one of Ostlund/Kulich/Konsta, but to act like that deal is some of the swill Rangers fans were coming up with for Jack is overcompensation to not be like them
English

@23sabres @Sabremetrix It’s arguably better depending on how you feel about Tuch then and Norris now. Krebs was never overly impressive post draft, he was just the only prospect they had left really, I’d argue Mrtka has a higher ceiling at present than he did
English

@2ITB_Buffalo No thanks. Need them to get steamrolled and Carolina can get wiped in the final. For my mental health I don’t need that what if
English

@Sabremetrix I feel like it’s been a difficult choice for me going back and forth between the 2, but when you frame it this way, it really kinda is a no brainer that Helenius is the one to keep
English

Most open to trading to least open:
Mrtka
Kulich
Östlund
(several more tiers)
Helenius

If the Sabres are going to make a big move this offseason it’s almost certainly going to include at least one of these players: - Konsta Helenius - Noah Ostlund - Jiri Kulich - Radim Mrtka Rank them in order of most open to trading to absolutely not moving them.

@MarkCarrera18 @Sabremetrix Good on the Habs, they’re doing their thing, but Christ are the Sabres making it extremely easy on them
English

@MarkCarrera18 @Sabremetrix And I by no means expected them to dominate, the Habs are a great team and it was always going to be a tough out to get past them. But once they hit their stride, I am extremely hard pressed to remember any game where they looked like they were completely out of it
English

@LLysowski @2ITB_Buffalo The whole series? No, that’s largely because the best players have been on milk cartons. This game specifically was because UPL didn’t step up when his team needed him and Dobes did.
English

@mckitch12 @2ITB_Buffalo I just have a hard time putting goaltending as the top reason why this series is at this point. That’s all.
English

@LLysowski @2ITB_Buffalo They were all over the Habs before the tying goal and Dobes locked in after some tough ones early to kept the Habs within 1. They needed UPL to do the same after the tying goal and he did anything but. You can argue it shouldn’t have but the 4th/5th goals deflated them
English

@bigbird3420 @NotTheJoeMarino You’re choosing to blame the guy who got a pass fired into his feet rather than the guy who made the awful pass AND got beat back to the net?
English

@NotTheJoeMarino He was good for exactly one game. You have some weird need to pretend him and Stanley aren’t useless black holes in the roster
English

@mckitch12 Eh he was up until tonight. Let’s not act like that was wrong
English

@CMDeDominicis No no the problem can’t possibly be them, just keep moving the pieces around them, that’ll do it!
English

@Ben_Mathewson Imagine if they played games to not have to be in a position to come back instead of always playing like they know they can
English

@ntrider825 Too young to be in the lineup (and play centre) effectively, old enough to essentially revive a line. Kids these days!
English

That makes one of us brother!

Luukkonen starts for Sabres tonight “I’m excited.”
English

@xBuffaloAnth Then shake up the problem, the team in front of him. UPL isn’t exactly a beacon of mental fortitude, throwing him in for a must win game at the bell centre when they’re on the ropes is insane. It’s already 1-0 Montreal cause he’s good for at least one squeaker a game
English

Lyon hasn't been the problem, but yeah, you gotta shake some things up here. It's the right call I think.

Sabres morning skate underway in Montreal. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen in the starter’s net at the Bell Centre.
