As fbref.com have lost access to advanced metrics, this will impact mclachbot. I have some plans on next steps, but they will take a while to implement. As a result, there'll likely not be data updates to radar charts and much of the other data until summer.

By comparison, long throws are much less of a factor in Ligue 1, where only 4 teams have attempted 1 or more long throw into the box per game, only 1 team generating 10 or more shots from them multiple teams generating 0 shots from long throws.

The second is a detailed shot visualisation tool, allowing you to see where every team have taken and conceded shots, again, slicing by various situations, shot types, etc. Includes a neat feature to draw a zone on a pitch to see data on just shots from that zone.

Lots of new features added to mclachbot.com over the holidays. First is a League Performance table that lets you dig into teams' underlyings vs actual goals, slicing by a variety of situations, game states, shot types, etc.

Can extreme xG overperformers sustain it? History says, "not so fast". This is a very important infographic to see for people who argue that we should look at large G-xG as evidence of finishing ability.

10/ BRUNY NSIMBA (Dender, 25) npxG+xA/90: 0.66 Angolan winger who was raised in Belgium. 14 goals in second tier two seasons ago. 9 goals in 38 last season helped Dender survive. This season improved even more, but faces a challenge as Dender are in last place.
