A powerful new mural in Newtownabbey that speaks to remembrance, loss and identity. For many, this is about honouring those who came before them and reflecting on sacrifice. The imagery is emotional and thought provoking, showing how deeply history still lives within communities today. Moments like this can carry different meanings for different people. What matters is how we respond. With respect, with understanding and with a commitment to peace. We do not all have to see things the same way, but we can choose to listen, to learn and to move forward together without losing our humanity. At the heart of everything, remembrance should always bring us closer to compassion, not further from it. The police in Northern Ireland are now looking to take this mural down. They ought to remember the division that they can cause within a community when they allow a statue of Bobby Sands yet they now want to go and take a mural down that represents sacrifice. Surely everybody is allowed to respect their history on their past and find a way to learn from the past and move forward united as one.

@Dan23_92 I’ll not be surprised to see the same incident happening before end of season but the ref blowing up to get keeper attention.

No issue with Munoz or anyone connected to Palace for scoring when the chance presented itself and I would like our players to do the same but it’s such bad officiating and that doesn’t ever come as a surprise now. Keeper down waving for help and they just crack on. Piss poor.

I’d absolutely love Slot to completely turn things around, with this season just a blip, but I can’t say I’m confident. Can see it being October and a lot of disgruntled fans.

@liverpxxl9 Hughes & Edwards want to back him because he’s their man. If, and he has this past twelve months, fails then it’s partly their fault. They are solely to blame for the squad imbalance. Their own egos are a massive problem right now.

Alex Crook talking strongly re Liverpool on Talksport now. He’s close to Hughes and very reliable: - defends Slot strongly. Says it’s too easy to blame a manager & club leadership want to back him. - says players need to take more responsibility. Criticised Salah & Van Dijk directly. Defends Wirtz. Says the players feel sorry for themselves. - acknowledges Hughes’ Saudi link but says he doesn’t think it’ll happen this summer. Slot NEEDS to win games but if there was appetite to fire Slot, Crook would have been more critical of him.. #LFC
