Usman Nuhu and his gang attached to Area Command Effurun, Delta State brutally and extradicially k!lled yet to be identified young man yesterday. Usman Nuhu was formerly with RRS formerly #SARS with multiple allegations of extrajudicial killings. He had also served at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Illah but was reportedly transferred due to repeated misconduct and excessive use of force. While Usman Nuhu is currently in police custody, he did not act alone. Other officers involved in the incident are reportedly being shielded. There are strong indications of an ongoing coverup. It is important that all responsible parties are identified and held accountable to ensure justice is served and to put an end to #ExtrajudicialKillings Harrison Gwamnishu Human Rights

With all due respect, sir, this is not true. You are not Kwankwaso. You do not speak for the entire North, nor do you represent Kano. A supporter of AA has no moral authority to lecture anyone about political mistakes. Your side has been making serious political miscalculations since 1999. The North is exhausted with this government and is determined to vote it out — whether your preferred candidate wins or not. Heaven will not fall. The North is not tribalistic, no matter how hard some try to portray it that way for selfish interests. We will vote for the right candidate, based on what we believe is best for our people and the country. Nigeria must move forward, whether some people like it or not.
Hamma@HAHayatu

The biggest mistake Kwankwaso shall make in his political life is moving somewhere with Peter Obi to be his running mate . He will be hated in the north and even in his Kano base and he shall not bring the needed votes, if he can he could have brought it to himself 2023. Da muguwar rawa gwamma kin tashi

A decaying Nation Crying for Leadership. What we have witnessed across our country in just the past 48 hours is not only tragic, it is utterly unacceptable and a damning indictment of our collective failure of leadership. From the reported killings in Katsina, Adamawa, Kaduna and Benue States, to the gruesome murder of an entire family in Plateau State, and the heartbreaking abduction of innocent children in Kogi State, one of the incidents involves children conveying their mother's dead body for burial. Nigeria is bleeding. We are fast becoming a nation where human life is treated as expendable, where citizens live in fear, and where the basic duty of government, to protect lives and property, is repeatedly neglected. 11 innocent Nigerians were killed in Katsina State. 7 more in Benue State. 23 in Adamawa State in just one day. An entire family was brutally murdered in Plateau State. 24 children were abducted from an orphanage in Kogi State, and 10 more children were taken in Kaduna State, all within 48 hours. These are not mere statistics; they are our fellow Nigerians, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, whose lives have been brutally cut short or violently disrupted. This cannot continue. A nation cannot develop under the weight of such persistent insecurity and human tragedy. The normalisation of these horrors is itself a crisis. We must ask, with all sense of urgency and responsibility: where is the leadership? Where is the coordination, the competence, and the compassion required to confront this menace decisively? My heart goes out to all the grieving families across these states. I pray for divine comfort for those who have lost loved ones and for the safe and immediate return of all abducted children. A New Nigeria is not just a slogan; it has become an urgent necessity. A New Nigeria is Possible. -PO

The publication by The Sun Nigeria alleging that I was “dragged to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over a ₦100 million kickback for a fake contract” is entirely false and raises serious questions about motive, particularly given its suspicious timing. According to the report, I was linked to an alleged kickback tied to a so-called “fake contract.” Let it be stated categorically and without ambiguity, I have never been invited, queried, or contacted by the ICPC on this or any related matter. At no time has the Commission written to me or sought any explanation regarding any allegation whatsoever. Even more fundamentally, as a Senator, I do not award contracts, not even for constituency projects. All such projects are executed strictly by relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of government in line with established procedures. Any attempt to associate me with contract awards reflects either a fundamental misunderstanding of how government functions or a deliberate act of misinformation. What is most telling, however, is the timing. How coincidental that this publication surfaces the very morning after my interview on ARISE Television, where I spoke candidly on the state of the nation and held the government accountable. This pattern is not lost on discerning observers. It is becoming increasingly evident that those who choose to speak truth to power must now contend not only with resistance but also with calculated attempts at intimidation and character assassination. Let it be made clear, I will not be silenced. I remain resolute in my commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible governance. If this is the consequence of refusing to align with the excesses of government, then so be it. I fully expect more of such attacks. They will not deter me, because the Nigerian people deserve leaders who will speak boldly, not those who shrink from the truth. It is increasingly evident that Nigeria’s democracy, and indeed the integrity of the 2027 general elections is in serious jeopardy. Democracy itself is now facing an existential threat. However, I do not want to believe that the judiciary, long regarded as the last hope of the common man, would align with the ruling APC in any effort that could undermine or destroy our democratic foundations. -AA

My brother’s girlfriend left him. He was 27. She was 25. She left because she wanted to marry and settle down. My brother wasn’t ready. He was hurt because he genuinely liked her. He is 30 now and doing really well for himself. She is 27 now, still not married. She now drives a Lexus SUV, has her own place, and a well-paying job. Guess who’s back sleeping with each other again? Both of them. Told him to enjoy her. But he should never think of marrying her. He agrees. She left once. She will leave again.

South Africans are now attacking their own women who are married to non South African men. They are saying all South African women married to foreigners must leave South Africa with their husbands. Xenophobic madness.

Verifiable fact: They plan to deliver judgment on the 5th of May. Depending on the outcome, they may direct the matter back to the High Court. The opposition will then have only three working days (6th, 7th, and 8th) to take a decision, with the 9th and 10th falling on the weekend and marking the deadline for submission to INEC. This appears to be an orchestrated move by anti-democratic and centrifugal forces against one person, His Excellency Peter Obi. We shall overcome, insha Allah.

“Nigerian don’t even want 24 hours light, can they even afford 24 hours light ? Nigerians just want to come home at 8pm and meet light so they won’t sweat when they sleep and also meet the light by 7am so they can iron thier cloths and then you can take the light and divert it to where factories are. Nigerians are not asking for much and they’re the easiest people to please. - Deji Adeyanju says
